Ok so LAC/MEM Game 7 is scheduled for 1p on Sunday, and MIA/IND is scheduled to start on 3:30pm Sunday.

With the winner between Edgar and I at 1pm, having to pick a team and player for the next game at 3:30pm (and our opponent Redz having to wait to know what team he has and which player he can pick till we pick...).  Somehow I don't think that's going to work.  :D

So what's the solution?  All 3 of us make conditional picks on the MIA/IND series ahead of time, with Redz possibly making two picks if me and Edgar pick different teams?
Yup ... SlamTheKing had to make a bunch of provisional picks as well, so it's not that big a deal, (unless you and Edgar decide that you'd want the same team, which would simplify it a bit). We've had to do a similar version of this before, and it worked out pretty well.

Open to other suggestions, obviously ... calling the first games a scratch and starting the series with the following game, for example, but then you'd be giving yourselves less of a chance for success. If anyone else has any ideas, just chime in!

So here I go:

For the Memphis/LAC series:

bdm860 - Marreese Speights: 8.8

If I win, I'm going with Miami.  For Game 1:

bdm860 - LeBron James: 27.1

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

** For those who may be confused by how I list the results, this is how it's broken down: **

team abbreviation   -   player's name (picked for that game)   :   that player's 2011-2012 scoring average   /   that player's points total for that game   =   that day's net score above/below player's average   /   that day's net margin over/under competitor's net score   //   net gain/loss of all games played to that point (all net scores added together)   /   net margin over/under competitor's net gain/loss to that point (this is used as a tie-breaker)    (win/loss record to that point)

Example:

CHI  -  Michael Jordan :  30.5 / 42 =  +11.5 / +4.3  //  +2.7 / +6.3  (2/1)

Hope this helps!

** Please send me a PM if you notice any discrepancies or errors. Leaders are marked in red, ties are marked in purple - in case of a tie, the total points difference decides the winner. Missing your pick will result in a score five points less than that of your opponent's. **

I just need provisionals from Edgar by 330P today, (Sunday), and 33-00-32 will need to choose a team after the MEM/LAC game at 1PM. I also have the Big Board set up below. Thanks, RR...but I know I snuck into the playoffs under the back door, and I know that the first score does not win the game.  The Celtics victory is what means the most...see you Monday...come with ammunition (but not too much,  ;) ).

Rebus, are you from Edinburgh?

RebusRankin is a combination of John Rebus and Ian Rankin.

Thanks.  I knew the author, Rankin, was Scottish and Rebus is one of his characters.  I lived in Scotland for a year...beautiful country...and was intrigued by the name.
