This sucks

I was hoping he’d be like rookie Jaylen brown was during those playoffs. Looks like someone like green may get more minutes

Assuming everyone else stays healthy, I don't think Romeo would have been part of our playoff rotation. Thing is, will everyone else stay healthy? If yes, then losing Romeo is no big deal.

No except when Hayward leaves bubble, we won't have that option, will have to give more min to Semi and Grant, neither of whom can handle the ball as well as Romeo. This could hurt us.

Bench:

Smart

Wanakr - 149 mins 26/44 FG - 4/12 3 PT - 18/20 FT - 20 reb 74 PTS

Semi - 103 mins - 15/35 FG - 12/30 3 PT - 3/4 FT - 21 reb - 45 PTS

Kanter - 93 mins 23/37 FG - 13/16 FT - 37 REB - 53 PTS

Robert - 63 mins - 24/26 FG - 8/9 FT - 20 REB - 52 PTS

Grant - 71 mins - 7/19 FG - 3/11 3PT - 2/2 FT -  13 REB - 19 PTS
(I think Robert stole some of Grant's minutes)

In the bubble, all of these guys are playing well.

Romeo needs minutes, thus no injury is good. I will say? This bunch of benchers look big, not a softee in the bunch.

Cornerback - Smart tied with Ty Law for most picks

Safety- Wanamaker - he went to a good football school - Pitt

Middle linebacker is Grant - he calls the defense with Smart

OLB - Semi can drop into coverage - no problem

DE- Robert (crash in on that offensive tackle)

Nose - goes to Kanter as he has a "nose" and he can use his height to block field goals

(I'm not sure what the above was about, I think I miss football pretty badly)

We got two ball handlers off the bench in Smart + Wanamaker. I mean, it's not like Romeo is the next Pete Maravich. :P His ball handling skills are nothing special. He plays good D on the perimeter though. If you ask me, he was mostly helping the team on the defensive side of the ball.

That's really too bad. While certainly promising, he and Robert Williams have had tough injury-plagued seasons. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that one of them will be out. Hopefully he will come back stronger than ever next season. He still has lots to work on, but I've really liked what I've seen from him.

If we're talking spot minutes where the team could use a boost, I would really like to see Javonte Green get a chance. He oozes energy and him throwing down a break-away dunk can really change the momentum of a game.

Obviously unwelcome - I thought he had chance at some minutes during these playoffs with his tough, physical D.  Was there any word of when this happened? I didn't notice anything during the restart games.

Yeah, it happened in the Washington game. He played through it for a bit, but then went to the locker room and never returned to the game.

That's really too bad. He was looking very good lately and was likely to get some playoff minutes when Hayward leaves the bubble.

What stinks is this is his shooting hand.  He needs to really work on his shot in the off season.

IMO he should get his surgery now, forego the playoffs (where his utility is negligible) so that he can have more time to work on his jumper for next season.
