Congrats to JT. Hopefully he's gettin the youngin ready for the 2036 draft class to follow in his pops footsteps.
I was always afraid of a being a teen father, but when you're in the NBA, and your mom lives in the same building as you, it probably isn't that scary. Your financial situation is taken care of and your support system is right there with you.
Good stuff.
Cool, maybe they'll both be able to play together on the same team.
I am a huge Tatum fan and the baby will obviously be well-supported, but this isn't exactly the ideal situation for the average person. No matter the circumstance, good for him!
I guess he really is the 'vet rook'.
I'm convinced there's no "ideal situation" for having a baby. I honestly just believe a supportive family system is all that's necessary.
My mom had me at 15. She was a single mom with but was never on welfare or section 8, or child support or anything like that. We just had a tight family unit that supported my mom and I until my mom got her life together. Now she's making a 6 figure salary, owns her own house, car, side business etc.
If Tatum is close enough to his mom where he initially wanted her to live in the same apartment as him, I'd say he's got the support he needs already.
