My vote (perhaps unsurprising given that I'm a Boston sports fan) would be "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys.

Please give me some ideas so I can populate my pandora radio account.

Thanks in advance!
And... Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Celtics fan for life.

My song of the day: Finnegan's Wake and Wild Rover by Dropkick.

After you have done being rowdy, and "The Wild Colonial Boy" has been sung,  Danny Boy is always good to shed a few tears into your green beer.  My name being Kathleen,  when I was little I thought my dad wrote "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen"  for me!  He could not carry a tune, but no one sang it better,  ;) .

Anything by the Pogues...

Saw the Pogues last year and they really delivered the goods.

Great show.

Which song for Saint Paddy's day?  How about Bottle of Smoke?

Saw the 12 Irish Tenors in Branson.

Saw the Clancy Bros. with Tommy Makem year ago.

St. Patrick's Day songs, oldies but goodies

McNamara's Band
Tura Lura Lura
When Irish Eyes are Smiling

Went to Ireland a few years ago and requested a few songs...we were told by the band (in Dublin) that they don't do the "war" songs anymore...like Wild Colonial Boy!

This is my favorite "Irish" song, but it won't put you in a great mood. It was written by a priest in response to the Easter Uprising of 1919, and encouraged Irish men to fight for Ireland rather than Britain.

I don't know if they're actually Irish, but it sounds Irish enough for me to love on this day:

Waterboys - Fisherman's Blues

Also, might be super obvious and therefor not cool but isn't U2's "Beautiful Day" kinda perfect for today?

(ya, I did the live one from the Patriots super bowl to make me look hip)

I'd also throw anything by the Saw Doctors in there.

Finally, similar to Waterboys - I don't know if this is Irish but it makes me want to go to the pub, and that works, right?

EDIT: What a terrible video for that one above
