Danny almost souled his Soul this time. He sacrificed Character in the name of bring 18 to Boston.

It didn't work, and frankly I'm glad it didn't. This slap in the face with likely two stars leaving Boston has knocked Some sense back into Danny.

 Watch the press conference.

So to heck with Cry babies, people that don't want to listen to one of the smartest coaches in Basketball.
Let's get as many Grant Williams as we can find. Romeo, Carsen Edwards and the LSU kid Danny speaks highly of as well.

If you watch the whole video they're is no question in my mind he's taking jabs at Irving.

Good job Danny. Let's have some fun and play Celtics basketball again with great kids. Resist the Dark side you must.

In short. Last year was a sacrifice towards a more likeable team.

I wonder who will Celtics fans hate more

Kyrie Irving or Ray Allen.

Easily Kyrie.  Ray won a title and gave it his all until through his very last game.  Can’t say the same for Kyrie.

(And to be clear, I’m still mad at Judas Shuttlesworth for going to the Heat.)

Yeah, Ray without question. No Ray = no 17

I was upset that Ray left for a very short time.  He gave everything he had to the Celtics and probably sacrificed more than anyone on those teams.  Ray was a complete professional who played for the Celtics, not for Ray Allen.  I can't say the same about Irving.

I never understood the hate for Ray, honestly. He was a great Celtic in my book.

My thing is THIS, though -

We HAD a Character Team here in BOS already...then nearly ALL of us rationalized it all away and traded an injured IT4.

The "Character" thing to do would've been to KEEP IT4....see him healthy - no matter what.

Let's just stop the character talk non sense.

We ALL tasted the sweet nectar of Superstardom....wanted to join the superstar Rat Race and now some of us want to throw Kyrie Irving under the bus because it blew up in our faces.

pffft.

Kyrie signed a contract to play basketball with the Cavs and then the Celtics by way of a trade. He honored that agreement, and is now going to sign a different deal. I have no reason to dislike Kyrie based on this.

To those who would say he has a "right" to go -- of course he does.  It's a much more visceral discussion -- whether Kyrie's leaving is worthy of ire or not.   The one thing I can't get over with Ray is that he went to the Heat -- the team the C's had just lost to, the current rival.  And he brought them (contributed to) a championship.  Ray had every right to go, yet I'll always think worse of him for going to the Heat.

If KI goes to the Lakers, he will be my mortal enemy forever.  If he goes to the Clips and the Clips rise above LAL, I'll surely forgive him eventually.  Kyrie begged his way out of Cleveland and then turned away from the team that gave him salvation.  OK, it's his right, but he does deserves wrath from C's fans regardless where he goes in my opinion.  I'm not one who "boos" at players (ever), but if I were to boo, Kyrie would be hearing it.

Same. Guy took a pay cut to play on a contender. Exactly what we would laud someone for doing if they came to Boston.

 TP GF.

Listen man. "Trader Danny" has to take a long look in the mirror himself. Realize that being a Snake is not an admirable trait.

Danny has suffered from bad Karma IMHO. Stay Woke Danny.

He has no choice. He didn't Honor anything in relation to the Celtics.

He's a human turd in the punchbowl.

You mean other than the fact that he was a p--- poor “leader” when here, played a major role in the poor chemistry and dysfunction of the team, and straight up quit on the team in the playoffs after putting up career-worst like numbers?
