Is this the most Athletic Celtics team ever?

This team is crazy athletic but is it the most athletic Celtics team ever? Can the extreme speed and athleticism make up for a smaller team?

The Russell Celtics were the some of the most athletic teams in Celtics history imo. It's not all about jumping, the term "run and jump" was coined for a reason.

Timelord is a great athlete, but if we are talking about the most athletic team of all time, he ain't Bill Russell.

For the record, Russell was also a standout in track and field events. He was ranked the seventh-best high-jumper in the world in 1956 (his graduation year) despite not competing in Olympic high-jump competition that year.

Anyway, of the 3 players you mentioned, only Brown is considered a regular starter. Green has started zero games and is averaging 6.9 mins per game. Timelord has started 1 game and he's averaging 15.3 mins per game.

Hayward on the other hand is a surefire starter. Kanter is playing plenty of minutes as well. He might even be a starter come playoff time (probably not but you never know). Most athletic Celtics team of all time? Nah, I don't buy it.

Hayward's athleticism is underrated, probably even more so after the injury. I think he has above average athleticism for his position. He's no Brown or James, but he's still pretty athletic.

Hayward is faster and more agile than a lot of wings. Jumping high isn't the only way someone can be athletic.

In terms of freak athletes and wing players, yes, the most 'athletic' team ever.  But that's not all that wins games.  There's also 'skill' talent and distribution of talent and top end talent. 

For example Steph Curry isn't that great of an 'athlete' but he's a top 10 overall talent due to skill talent. 

Also in terms of top end talent, right now Kemba Walker is our best player.  We need one other player to equal or become better than him to stand a chance in the playoffs.  Athleticism is great to have, yes, but it's not the only factor to consider to build a contender.

 There in no Questions this team is more athletic than Bill Russell's teams any one of them. Bill Russell was a great athlete but they don't have anybody like Jaylen Brown Kemba Walker .

 The average athleticism on this team is very good probably better than the Kevin Garnett rondo Pierce Ray Allen Celtics.

 so yes this team does have a chance of being in the one of the most athletic Celtic rosters in recent memory.

Yeah, the overall athleticism has just risen and risen throughout the sports world.

I don't know if I'd say anyone on the team was more athletic that young Russell though, given his varied achievements. But as a collective there are just more great athletes.
