ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan believes this strong chemistry is due in part to Kemba Walker, who has a different leadership approach than Boston’s former point guard, Kyrie Irving.

Kemba, when you miss a shot, you can hear him in the huddle when they mic him up,” MacMullan said Tuesday on “The Jump.” “‘Keep shooting, keep shooting,’ you know? When Gordon Hayward was taking a shot and missing, Kyrie (Irving) is going, ‘What are you doing?’ So it is a different vibe.”

Paul Pierce, who knows a thing or two about leading the C’s, also has taken notice of Walker’s impact.

“They got better leadership in there,” Pierce said. “Let’s just call it how it is. It’s better. Kemba, he’s known throughout the league as being a great leader. I mean, he played on losing teams, he stayed positive. He went out and played hard every night, and that can be infectious. That can be the difference between losing and winning and chemistry. That’s what he’s brought to the Celtics.”

Love that Ainge aimed for Kemba as his number one option in free agency

Jackie knows what her audience wants to hear.  It's all about the clicks.

It doesn't really matter.  Being right or wrong isn't her job nor her aim.

Gotta agree with this. She’s been pushing the Kyrie Hate button over and over.

Not quite. Remember the article she wrote in May (?) when her main point was that the disappointing season was NOT ALL Kyrie's fault and she laid down the case of other players and staff who should share the blame.

It's not just adding Kemba and no Kyrie.  There's also no Morris & Rozier to volume shoot and/or not move the ball.  The media tended to ignore those two guys - who contributed plenty to the team's under performance.

Jackie doesn't have a history of being negative towards individuals or going after certain players. So anything negative regarding Kyrie I would tend to believe there is more than something to it. I am more than comfortable accepting her sotries on face value. She's been one of the best reporters in the business for a long time now, and well and truly above having to stoop to click bait hot takes for readers (ESPN though, not so much).

This team is miles away more likable than last years team. I mean, last years team had:
1. An entitled attitude
2. Pointing fingers on the court
3. Gunners playing over their heads (Rozier/Morris)
4. Passive aggressive comments over the media
5. Inefficient ball hoggery in the playoffs
6. A former all star playing like a shell of himself
7. No Tacko Fall

Granted, this team has only had 1 Tacko game so far but here’s hoping!

And this is exactly why ESPN hired her, they knew she would be able to say whatever she wants and people would believe it regardless, based on nothing but her past reputation.

But make no mistake, Jackie stopped being a real journalist and became 'Jackie Hack' a long time ago. She isn't above resorting g to click bait, that's literally almost all she does anymore, it's what she was hired by ESPN to do. But I don't fault her for cashing in on her name. Working local beat reports isn't that lucrative, comparatively.

For as quickly as many are to believe Jackie, you seem just as quick to disregard all she has to offer nowadays because you think she's a hack. This isn't the first time you've painted her in this light too. Weird
