We have a STACKED starting 5 (or 6)! Holiday, White, Brown, Tatum, Porzingis, Horford… that is a stacked team!

But playoffs are an 8-9 man rotation, and regular seasons are probably 10-11 (given injuries). This means, about 4 more guys will see the floor with some regularity. This is what the rest of the roster looks like:

Guaranteed/Options:
Pritchard
Banton
Brissett
Hauser
Walsh
Davison (?)

Then others:
Stevens
Scrubb
Mykhailiuk
Queta
Kornet

We’re a bit light on wing and center depth. Any chance any of these guys play productive minutes? Are Hauser and Brissett for real (as far as non-garbage minute bench guys go)?

I think the wings are fine with hauser, avu, and Bissett.  It is the bigs that we are real light.  Even if they play jt at pf allot they only really have 2 bigs.  Need a solid defensive big for the bench.

Yeah, the bench is real light in terms of injuries.  But I think they're fine in terms of mixing with the starters in a normal game.

We are a 6 man team.

Denver was a 6 man team last year. They made it work. They had borderline rotation players like Jeff Green and C Braun to fill out final rotation spots. We have Hauser & Pritchard.

Teams like this usually do not win. Denver bucked the trend last year. Hopefully this group can do the team.

Stevens and Brissett will be defense first, do the little things.

Hauser needs to take the next step.

PP is going to get his chance to play more.

Need one more big.

Yeah, the more I look at the list, the more the bigs scare me and the more I become at peace with the wings.

If shot blocking is too much of a premium, I’d gladly take a strong rebounder. Even if it’s some foul prone big who averages 4 fouls every 15 minutes

Yeah, I think the wings we’re fine at, and to a lesser extent the guards. We need another rotation level 4/5 badly, particularly a bruising, good rebounding type.

I am surprised so many are happy or comfortable with our wings.

We got a lot of them but not much quality there.

They only guy I am remotely comfortable with is Sam Hauser and he was benched for almost the entire playoffs last year.

I’m curious if Jordan Walsh can help at all with our bench. I was impressed with him in Summer league.

PG: Pritchard
SG: Svi
SF: Hauser

It is the slow unathletic white guy shooters bench. Our top options at each perimeter slot.

I could see Jordan Walsh working his way into the rotation. The need for someone with athleticism & defensive hustle.

Walsh can give them what Grant did minus the 3 point shooting. Walsh seems to be super athletic and has a high motor.

I’m comfortable with Pritchard and Hauser for their roles. I am comfortable with Al. Which is why so much to me comes down to Brissett. Can he give you 20 quality backup power forward minutes? If the answer is yes, we are set. If it’s no, we have an issue. My gut says yes for his role but that’s the bet. He’s the guy.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

I will be happy if they can get that out of Brissett and Stevens. Hauser is the key off the bench...Unless the move White to the bench and start Al.

But they HAVE to bring in another big to spell Al or give them line up options.
