Jaylen Brown is a tremendous prospect. He is 20 years old and has show a willingness to muscle up against NBA level talent and has won a lot of these battles. He has the body, which you can't teach and sometimes you can't develop.
I love him as a player. But looking at our roster, available all star level talents (George/Hayward), he is redundant to players we should attempt to acquire to compete now. And I place Fultz on an equivalent level in terms of ability (if not higher upside).
So my original post was advocating to re-balance our roster by adding a player redundant to Brown (George). It wasn't advocating that Brown didn't have a good year or showed incredible signs of being able to play at a high level in this league.
I don't know how you could come to that conclusion after truly watching him play this year. I feel the total opposite of this viewpoint.
