Clippers vets (Beverly, Lou Wiliams and Harrell) were reported not happy the way Leonard was treated with his “load management”.. just saw this on yahoo..saying he went home many a times to San Diego, miss flights, etc.. if I was a player, I would be upset also..probably one reason why Doc bolted

This was why Raptors was such a good fit for him.  They didnt care what he did

Probably why they decided to get a new coach.  Let's see how the "new sheriff in town" approach works out for them.

Yes but Harrell etc will be out 1st before they try to get Leonard to follow the team rules

They definitely didn't seem like a happy team. Then again Lou Will and Harrell went MIA in the playoffs, they should look closer to home first.
Point of clarification, in the closeout game Beverly, Williams, and Harrell had 11 points in the 4th quarter in about 25 minutes, in 21 minutes George and Leonard didn't score a single point and were a combined 0 of 11.  Leonard and George were 2 of 7 for 5 points in 23 minutes in the 3rd quarter of that game.  So in the 2nd half of a closeout game, the two "stars" were 2 of 18 for 5 points in around 44 minutes (they were each -20 in a game they lost by 15).  That sort of production doesn't deserve special treatment.
It had been a closeout game in the prior two games as well. Harrell scored 6 and 5 points in those games, Williams scored 4 and 14, and Beverley scored 10 and 2. Meanwhile Kawhi scored 36 and 25, and George scored 26 and 33.

So in the prior two closeout games the two stars had absolutely lit it up, meanwhile two 6MOTY winners failed to combine for more than 10 points in one game and more than 19 in the next. If Lou Williams and Harrell even score half of their season averages in game 5 the Clippers win 4-1
Not in the 2nd half as the Clippers were blowing massive leads.  I mean in Game 6, Beverly played 35 seconds in the 4th quarter and Harrell was about 4.5.  Lou played about 9 minutes, but was 2 for 2.  Meanwhile, George and Leonard, did combine for 15 points but were just 4 of 12 in the 4th quarter and in the 3rd quarter when the lead first started to slip away George and Leonard were 2 of 9 for 12 points (while the 3 lesser players played barely over 12 minutes combined, though were 1 of 5 for just 2 points).

Game 5 Kawhi was pretty darn good scoring in the 2nd half with 22 points though it was on 6 of 14 shooting, but George was just 4 of 12 for 13 points.  Harrell was 2 of 5 in the 2nd half, Williams was 0 for 3 while Beverly didn't get a shot.

Frankly, Leonard and George weren't very good in the 4th quarters of the 1st four games either.  Game 1 in the blowout win George was 0-1 in 5.5 minutes and Leonard didn't play - Game 2 Leonard was 0 of 3 with 0 points, George was 3 of 8 - Game 3 Leonard was 1 of 7, George was 1 of 2 - Game 4 they were both 2 of 4.  So two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard in the 4th quarter of that series was 9 of 33 shooting the ball.  You aren't going to win many playoff series when your best player shoots 27% in the 4th quarter.

The simple reality is the Clippers two stars choked away the series with awful play in the 4th quarter all series long, but especially the last two games.  You win and lose by how well your stars play, and the Clippers stars were terrible in the 4th quarter of that series.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

PG-13 is so absurdly overrated and if he was given preferential treatment on par with Kawhi, that’s just absolutely absurd and no wonder the team collapsed. Kawhi is top 3 in the league, right up there with Giannis and LeBron (and as soon as next year, either him or LeBron will be falling out of the top three in favor of Doncic). Is PG-13 even top 30 nowadays? Like someone said, Tatum and Brown were better than him this year.

Kawhi went to the wrong team in LA and I wish he’d force a trade to build a legacy here in Boston. Kawhi is one of the most intelligent players in the game and must understand he has the potential to be seen as even bigger than LeBron if he wins 5-6 championships the next decade. Doing it in Boston and stopping LeBron and the Lakers in the process? That definitely gets you to number two all-time, right after MJ...or suffer in LAC with a loser wingman who will never get you past the Nuggets/LAL.

LeBron is laughing at Kawhi, especially after seeing them replace Doc with Ty Lue...if you’re Kawhi, why not force a trade to Boston in exchange for Brown and 5-6 first-round picks, so you can return the NBA to 3-4 straight NBA Finals of Lakers V. Celtics, and wipe that smirk off LeBron’s face? Who would you rather play with, PG-13 and the vets, or Kemba, Tatum, Smart, Hayward and Theis?

Are you serious? Is Paul George top 30? You can't actually be asking that.

Coming off major shoulder surgery George still cruised to 22/6/4 on career-high efficiency with his typical good defence. His playmaking was better than it has ever been, his per-minute and per-possession scoring was his 2nd highest mark, and his BPM metrics were still very flattering. The main thing that held him back this year were injuries, which led him to playing his 2nd lowest MPG average over a full season

PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I think Paul George should be judged on how good he is after nba return to normal play in arenas. It was obviously that he struggled in the bubble because he was depressed. Kyrie would be the same hence he never bothered to show up.
It looks like the bubble was ideal for mentally strong players like Butler, Smart and I hate to say it Lebron.
George is easily top 5 SF in the league still but Tatum has passed him and brown will as well.

People have short memories. Paul George is a season removed from being in the top 3 of voting for MVP and DPOY. Even coming off of bilateral shoulder surgery, he still turned in a great season. He'll have a healthy offseason and bounce back just fine.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

Yeah, he was really great in 18-19.

I wish we could have guys have “bad” years of strong defence and 22PPG on solid efficiency, lol
