  • Thank you Eddie!
I can't wait for the Miami Cobra Kai to win something like 75 games, only to get humiliated by the Celtics in Round 2.  We're in for one of the best NBA seasons in a long time.

Love the movie references. Celtics as Daniel, Heat as Cobra Kai. Good job.

How about Miami as Skynet, Celtics as John Connor.

The Lakers need some place in that story.  Would that make Doc Mr Miyagi?
The Lakers can be Mr. Miyagi's rival from Karate Kid 2.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I always thought of the Lakers as Newman from Seinfeld..but if it were played by Corey Haim.

ESPN should just green-light the production of Miami Heat reality show already. We all know they want to.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Pretty sure that's exactly what this is.

This thread turned into a Simmons column very fast.  Good work folks.

No no..they're the other hockey team from AirBorne. The preppy ones. And Delonte West is Snake. And Big Baby is Augie.

AirBorne trumps all obscure late 80's to early 90's movie references.
