David Kahn is an idiot and needs to be fired. ::)

Props to the kid for at least being positive about his team.

Flynn, Johnson, Beasley, Love, Darko

If Beasley can amp it up they could at least be fun to watch.
wow, I hadn't realized how hideous they're starting line-up is but if that's the starters, they're screwed (moreso than most years).

I like Wes Johnson, Rubio, and Kevin Love.

As for the rest, meh.

Minnesota are going to be better than they were last season.

(1) Kevin Love's increased court time
(2) Vastly improved quality and depth on the wings.
(3) Darko for a full season + Pekovic as backup C

They're still going to be a very poor team ... but they're going to win more than the 15 games they won last season. Somewhere in the 20-25 win range. Maybe a couple more wins if they get lucky and a lot of things fall into place the right way.

C - Darko, Pekovic, Koufos
PF - Love, Beasley, Tolliver
SF - W.Johnson, M.Webster, L.Hayward
SG - C.Brewer, Ellington
PG - Ridnour, Flynn, Telfair

There is a lot of useful players on this team. They just lack elite talent at the top of the roster.

Well, in a way he’s right. Minny is a team to be beat... many times.

http://www.nba.com/timberwolves/news/BEasy_Prepares_For_Camp_2010_09_15.html

Michael Beasley: “I think that speaks to Pat Riley, you know exactly who he is. Pat Riley is a winner, winner, winner, that’s pretty much all it is. They got three of the best guys in the NBA, they got the best role players in the NBA, you know they are trying to win championships and that’s what Pat Riley is all about. It is unfortunate they had to get rid of me but like I said, Pat Riley wins at any cost and that’s exactly what he did.”

Jonah Ballow: “Are they the team to beat? I mean, there is a team in LA with a couple of trophies but are they the team to beat?”

Michael Beasley: “Honestly, and I know a lot of people are not going to like that fact that I’m going to say this but I think we are the team to beat. You know, that’s just me and my ego speaking. I think the Lakers are the defending champs two years in a row, I think the Lakers still hold that title. It’s nice to see somebody try to fight back but as of now, the Lakers are still the team to beat.”

I remember when I had my first beer.....
We all think we know more than we really do....

I think they're going to miss Big Al's ability to score a bit. Well, at least I will miss him in Minny. Kevin Love getting more burn will definitely help though.

Exactly.  To me these are the only core pieces.  Not crazy about a lot of this team, Beasley included.  He's very talented but he hasn't shown to be much of a competitor so far.  He needs to develop mentally a lot more than he needs to improve his skills.
