I wouldn't do it, but it sounds better and more realistic than some other trades ideas posted here.
The Nets are owned by a crazy Russian billionaire who might love the idea of making a splashy trade. The Nets considered trading for Pierce last season.
So, my proposal is:
Paul Pierce and one or more second round picks for Gerald Wallace, Mirza Teletovic, Marshon Brooks, and a first round pick.
This seems less likely, now that Teletovic and Brooks are getting playing time now that Avery Johnson are gone, but it seems like a feasible panic move if the Nets go on a losing streak.
Wallace would be a combo forward who can defend both positions. He's younger than Pierce, but injury-prone. Teletovic would be the stretch four with three-point range that I strongly desire. Marshon Brooks would be....trade bait who could be packaged with Bass (made expendable by the addition of Wallace and Teletovic) and a pick to get a center.
