Heard them interviewing Coach K the other day and when they were done they said something like "just chisel him into the Mt. Rushmore right next to Wooden" and then it got me thinking "Well who else is on it?"

It wasn't easy.

To me there are only like 9 or so legendary hoops programs. In no order

UCLA
Kentucky
UNC
Duke
Mich St
Indiana
Syracuse
UConn
Kansas

and that's about it.

Very respected programs might include
Nova
Louisville
Arkansas
Gonzaga

but that's about it.

I can't put Boeheim, Pitino, or Calipari on that mountain. Or Bobby Knight

I got maybe Dean Smith and maybe Valvano. Or maybe Calhoun. I thought this was pretty hard.

Well, if we're calling it the "Mt. Rushmore" of college hoops coaches, it can only be four names.

I'd go (in no particular order): Mike Krzyzewski, Dean Smith, John Wooden, and Adolph Rupp. I can't see any other college coach coming anywhere close to the success those four, they've distinguished themselves as the cream of the crop.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think Calipari belongs in the top four
Azzurri | Juventus | Boston Celtics | Kentucky Basketball

Can't disagree with this list.  I have Cal as dangerously close to being in though.
