According to Joe Johnson he "doesent know if the effort is gonna be there" talking about his own team.

I told you not to overextimate this terrible Hawks team. They are extremely mentally weak and will roll over. They know this is over.

As talented as those guys are it never ceases to amaze me how they don't get the rest of it. You've been with these mates for years. You've watched basketball all your life. Did you see winners talking about their team like that, Joe? Even if you don't believe in the effort or will of your team, don't be publicly indifferent. Command it. Insist that your're coming out guns a blazin' and then do what you do. If others check out, that's on them.

This is why I'm not entirely upset about him not staying in Boston and us not having Josh Smith fall into our laps. I understand their ability, but the culture here demands leadership and accountability from all players. Not "I don't wanna be a leader unless everything is going super anyway. I just want to be a weapon and I don't want to inspire or motivate". That's why guys like Avery Bradley in the infancy of their careers have potential to be of even more value than those guys even though they might not have the same gifts and bodies. Mentality can sometimes be overlooked.

Barkley: "Crank the boat up ernie!"

Even Sir Charles thinks the Hawks are going home tonight.

I aso wish Rondo or someone would give steamer a few more passes in the paint...he got 1 last game, and he put it up and in so fast the D had no chance.....yes, maybe he isn't the next coming of Kevin McHale...but he can score, he can dunk, and make layups....and this will make thier defense have to work harder......no double temaing anyone when you cannot leave your man...!
