wow, that final rebound missed by brown sums up this game perfectly. no hustle, no desire, no fight.

now tatum is yucking it up after the game. this is why we need a bird to tell the press that his teammates played like sissies. love the potential of youth but this team seriously lacks real leadership & accountability. no worries, boys. time to go ride space mountain, i guess.

So many reason we lost tonight.

But what I'm left with after these first few games is a reminder that our bigs are just inferior.  No chance of ever controlling the paint or making other teams think twice about driving the lane.

So why not put Robert Williams in there???

I mean, if we're okay just suffering through his development, sure.  But right now even Kanter and Theis, as woefully mediocre as they are, offer far more than Williams does right now.

It's not ideal.

Boston sports in general is just really depressing now.

Red Sox absolutely suck in 2020. Bruins have come out flat so far. C's have mostly been meh. And this past offseason the Patriots lost Brady and a lot of key defensive players.

Oh, and did I mention that the Red Sox absolutely suck right now?

Well, I guess the NE Revolution have been decent to this point.

Nah, one poorly officiated NBA game per day is enough for me.  I'm not even going to watch playoff games unless the C's are in it.  Maybe the finals depending on who it is.

i thought brown played well....Attacked the basket, hayward was good too, couple  of nice drives to the basket. I can't wait till Kemba is back fully he looks great. Tatum is starting to annoy me with his iso moves.  Brad wanna enough said, for every good play he makes he makes about 3 bone headed ones. I am still rooting for Semi, i thought he rebounded well today, still can't hit that open 3 consistently.

If Semi wants a future in this league he better start shooting 1000 three pointers a day.

Not a bad year to suck though. 49 games left and hopefully a top pick.

I think Heat play better against us without Butler. They play with more space on the floor. More ball movement.

I thought Kelly was really good. He really seems to step up against us.  Best game I saw Bam play against us.  Maybe it's time to unwrap the RW3 present.  We are currently the 3rd worst ranked defensive team in the bubble. We aren't going to get past the first round at that rate.

Nice to see my New Hampshire brethren light it up, too bad it was against us.

The Heat played with more intensity than us from the opening tap. I think our guard was down after we learned that Butler was out, and that this was 2nd of back to back for the Heat.

Losing Smart hurt, but he was pretty bad tonight, not sure his survival would have made any difference. Did Tony Brothers want to send him a message for talking smack about them after the Bucks' game??

terrible refs.

Gordon does indeed foul a lot on drives....either with forearm or like today, bumping the guy off too strongly.  I guess it probably works for him most of the time...but I think it's mostly a bad habit and not as necessary as he thinks.( I think he especially does it when he's frustrated).

poor shooting night.

Carelessness on offense by almost everyone.

saw the game on tape delay -- hot takes for the game:
- Hayward was more aggressive on offense and did a good job helping on the boards.  definitely needed him.  looking more and more like Utah Hayward with each passing game.
- Kemba - played decently.  will need more minutes from him in the playoffs.
- Jaylen - was aggressive on offense which was good and helped on boards, also good, but rough shooting night.
- Jayson - needed more from him on offense.  needs to be more consistent/reliable in term of production.  ended up with 23 pts with 9 FTs but needed him to take more shots.
- Marcus -- sucked.  BIG TIME.  horrible game.  appreciate he was defending Bam at times, which I think was a horrible coaching strategy, but overall he played horribly on offense and defense.
- Semi - awful shooting game.  needs to hit for a much better percentage consistently or sit the bench in favor of GWill who's got a more-rounded offensive game.

Overall, another example of this team living and dying by the 3.  1-2 in the bubble and it's directly tied to how well/poorly they're shooting the 3.   Those 2 techs and Jaylen's 2 missed FTs late in the game came back to haunt us.  Team has had 2 out of 3 games where they come out and play like crap to start the game and have to fight their way back into it.  Something needs to be done to get them to come out and play with a purpose from the get-go.

Two things I learned from yesterday's game:

1: Very good things started happening once our guys started taking it strong to the hoop. I hope that carry's over for the rest of the bubble. We rely way too much on creating the open three. Taking it strong to the hoop opens up the rest of the game for us on offense.

2: If we need a half court shot in the playoffs, I know now that I want Kemba to take it. He hit one at the end of the half and almost hit a second one at the end of the game, looked really good taking both of them too.

If the Celts keep playing like this and losing, plus Heat and Pacer keep their hot streaks alive

I wouldn't be surprised if the Celts end up 5th

Celtics bench production is pretty weak.  Semi and Gwill are unreliable offensively.  Wannaker is good for like 6 pts.   Smart for like 8pts.

CBS has zero trust in Langford.   Only plays him when he has no choice (foul trouble).

You can't get far in this league with an inferior bench.
