39 fts? I'm speechless...

Only because of Hack-A-Howard (mostly in late second-half)

Regardless of reason, it is nothing to sneeze at.  It was a single game record for FTA's.  Also, it wasn't very effective either.  64% shooting from the line from Howard, resulting in 25 free points, is pretty hard to overcome.

I dream of OKC's free throw shooting... so efficient.

To be honest, root for who you want. The Heat are too far ahead in the rankings to influence us. The Sixers are too low. :P But yes, I'd rather the Heat lose than the Sixers lose.

Oh, Dwight Howard with a nice come from behind block on Devin Harris' dribble drive layup. He looked like the Dwight Howard of old on that play.

D-Howard looks really spry here. Moving around the court very well. Agile and active. Good sign.

G - Nash
G - S.Blake
F - Kobe
F - Artest
C - Jamison

That is a lot of shooting on the floor.

Atlanta picking this lineup apart defensively though. No rim protection.

Horford is such a great rebounder.

LA Lakers blowing multiple opportunities to get back into this. Down 3 without the ball with just under a minute left now. Atlanta needs a hoop here. Several empty possessions in a row from the Hawks.

Wow Demarre Carroll just got called for the most weaksauce flagrant foul I have ever seen. He gave Kevin Durant a little shoulder in transition and they call a dang flagrant. And of course Hubie Brown agrees with him saying Carroll was out of line. Man the NBA is getting to be so soft.

Strong defense by Ron Artest against Horford. Fought him off, forced a tough baseline jumper off the dribble, missed, Artest fails to get the rebound, Horford tips it, Ivan Johnson gets the loose ball, gets the layup.

Hawks up 5 with 33 seconds to play.

Yes Kobe missed the game tying shot. I know I should be rooting for the Hawks to lose. But a Lakers loss is overdue

Ouch...nasty fall there by Kobe...doesn't look good at all...hope it's not serious.

There is a reason why a comic book caption was named after him:
