Is this a move to win a chip in 2023? Asking for a friend...

I'd miss Al, but I'd do that trade, depending on what the picks are.  One unprotected #1, one lottery-protected #1?  Sure.

Then trade Collins to Sacramento for Barnes and a future unprotected Sacremento #1, haha.

Just because a trade works in a trade machine, doesn't mean it's realistic. Why in the world would Atlanta do that trade? Are the Celtics including 5 first rounds in this scenario?

Chris Kirschner on John Collins’ trade market:
Quote
From talking with people since the draft, it seems like the market for Collins has decreased quite a bit. Now, I’m not really sure who’s interested in him… As it stands now for John, the market has definitely dwindled down for him. It’s not a possibility the Hawks just keep him. The Hawks aren’t going to just trade John for nothing. We’re talking about someone who’s a really good player.

Dang I was just about to propose this trade. Something similar involving Huerter and Collins for Al and TPE.

Just finished watching Huerter tape. Dude would be a huge plus for us off bench. He was amazing in game 7 vs Philly in 2021 eastern playoff series. Just destroyed Seth Curry. He and Collins are best friends too!!

Horford would be good this year for the Hawks and then expiring! Homecoming for Al!

Boston is NOT trading Al Horford. It will not happen.

Casual observers don’t think much of Aaron Nesmith, but they may be surprised next season.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021
