A way for everyone to be happy:

BOS In: KD
UTA In: AD, 2026 & 2028 LAL 1st, Westbrick
BKN In: Mitchell, Gobert, O’Neale
LAL In: Kyrie, JB, Theis

Followed By:

UTA In: Multiple picks/swaps from Detroit and massive TPE
DET In: AD

Who says no to this? This is the wagon to hitch onto to get KD for JB/Theis without mortgaging the future (no picks/swaps listed above, but I think that’s overly optimistic…). Without our involvement and the Jazz’s involvement, there’s no way to do this. Nets would be moving from a bad boy duo to the Jazz cleancut duo alongside retaining Simmons. That’s an exciting trio, especially with O’Neale as support. LeBron gets his Big 3 with new little bro JB. Kyrie has seriously downgraded his value the past year, but LeBron will take him—not sure anybody else will at this point, which may be why they’ve not done a trade yet? Hard too see how else the Lakers land him, dump Westbrick, and add another solid player.  Would be exciting to see the Warriors face competition against LAL—maybe we see a Celtics Vs. Lakers Finals next year. Jazz reload on assets and officially announce their tankjob. We get our top 5 guy who may get us past the last two champions, which is why we need to make a move for KD—Giannis is too good with Middleton, and Golden State just owned us (and KD/KD’s legacy, so talk about a great move for him to come to Boston). Everyone strengthens their plan for the future—everyone wins!

There’s nothing simple about someone trying to move a top five player on a four-year contract, and it’s complicated by having an eccentric top 20 talent nobody wants except the Lakers. The eccentric is on an expiring and if anybody would threaten to forfeit earnings on their last year and carry through with the threat, or somehow weasel his way out of the opt-in, it’s Kyrie. Meanwhile LA has nothing to deal except AD and some distant future picks. It’s gonna take three to four teams working together to get Brooklyn out of this mess.

Read between the lines and it’s very clear that behind-the-scenes LeBron and Kyrie, with an assist from KD, have decided there’s going to be a train wreck in the NBA if Kyrie doesn’t land in LA. It’s happening. Let’s find a way to make it work for us.

But i.dont want JB in LAL...it gives them a chance to still pose as a threat. Anywhere but lalaland.

Mitchell and Gobert don't seem to like each other so I doubt they want to play together in another team again

They’ll always be a threat. And nothing is better than Celtics Vs. Lakers. That’s the matchup that breaks ratings records. NBA has a strong desire for that to happen. Imagine the drama of Celtics Vs. Lakers, JT/KD/Smart vs. LeBron/Kyrie/JB. Can’t write a better script, frankly, except maybe Boston rematching with Golden State except this time KD is going to show everyone who needed who to win the title.

Giving LeBron and the Lakers JB and Kyrie would be horrific.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

We all know it won’t work because of Kyrie. He’s basically a super star that has collapsed into a black hole. It’ll probably be so bad that after two years, LeBron retires in shame and JB joins the Clippers 😂 frankly, even if LeBron made it work, they’re good enough to make the Finals, but how sweet would it be to send LeBron into retirement as a Laker by beating him in the Finals? I want nothing more.

Fact is that a trade with this much talent and this many teams with this amount of money hasn't come even close to happening. EVER.

Yeah, it's a fun thought exercise to try to do while screwing around in 2K or in front of a trade machine, but traded like this are not realistic in any way. You've got probably a hundred of these proposals littered in threads all across the site and not a one is realistic in any way shape or form.

Keeping it simple in a Brooklyn and Boston trade is the most likely thing. KD for JB, White and crap ton of picks and swaps. Simple easy and way, way more likely to happen if KD is coming to Boston. Want it more complex, and Curry coming here and part of the TPE going to BRK.

Apparently, KD's preferred destinations are Phoenix and Miami. I would assume the Heat would be willing to sacrifice Bam. Problem is, the Nets are not allowed to acquire Bam because of the Designated Rookie Extension rule. A third team would have to come into play. Enters Boston.

It's possible that the Heat would like us to be the 3rd team cause
a) we can send them a Bam replacement in Timelord
b) we can send Brooklyn a massive expiring in Horford
c) we have all our future firsts intact

Tatum - Brown - Bam would be the best young core in the NBA!

I would think all returns being equal I think Boston would be the last team Miami and the Nets would want to pull in.  If Cs are willing to part with JB they’d have chance.

Not interested in such a steep pay for someone like Bam, who struggles mightily come playoff time to impose himself

If it's Al and TL for Bam no picks, sign me up. TL will probably be injury prone forever and Al might go all mercenary again next off season.
