Announce it right before franchise-tagging starts and thus a bunch of trades and new contracts are made.

Why wouldn't Tennessee get in on Wilson? They are stacked and literally just need a QB upgrade. Wilson is a better version of Tannehill in every way.

IMO they would have been the best team in the NFL with Wilson.

Fant will be the one that it hurts for the Broncos to lose, but an earlier rumor had it as Chubb, which would have been worse.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wilson had a no trade clause, so.ething tells me he and his wife would rather be close to LA than the middle of the country

I wonder if the Bronco front office has seen Russell Wilson play the last several years.

It depends.  If Seattle winds up with 5+ starters from the deal and is able to find a good replacement QB, then yes.

If Seattle turns into the new Chicago and can't find a good QB for a decade (or four), they probably come out losers despite the picks.

What exactly are you guys seeing with Wilson?  The Seahawks have won at an incredible rate with Wilson, who throws a lot of TD's and very INT's.  He was banged up this year and missed some games and took a bit of time to get back into it, but they closed the year 4-2 with Wilson playing some pretty solid ball.

Personally, I think he's not what he once was.  when healthy he's still a good quarterback but I look at what Seattle got back and think that was quite the haul.  There's quite the potential for Seattle to get several very good starters out of that.  Wilson would have to bounce back to being a top quarterback for at least a few years and Seattle would have to whiff on most of those picks for me to think it wasn't in Seattle's favor (and even then, Seattle whiffing on picks won't be known for years and that still doesn't negate the opportunities they have to improve with those picks even if they blow them)

I wonder if you’ve seen the Broncos quarterbacks the last several years.  Wilson was by far the best guy available.
