Sabonas’ stats are much better than I thought. 14 pts, 9 boards in 25 minutes; more importantly, TS% of 63% and ORR of 21%.

That said, if we could actually pry Turner loose I’d prefer that. He’s a lot longer, much better defender, doesn’t seem to need a lot of shots. Hust don’t think he’s available.

How about yabu and 2 second round picks for Alex Len?
Len is about to get even better than last year

Ainge not trading Tatum or Brown unless its for Towns or someone like that
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I really like the sabonis idea.  I would do brown straight up, but if we could entice them with rookies and/or yab and a pick or two I'm for it.  I think I'd even do memphis pick, as I think it will be 2 years before we see it.  I really like the idea of
kemba/smart/langford
brown/smart/edwards
tatum/hayward
hayward/williams/semi
sabonis/williams/fall or execption big

Ugh, I'm a Sabonis guy but don't think I can trade Brown for him. Does Indy have anyone's pick that will be a lottery pick in the next2-3 years? If we were getting a lottery pick back even it was most likely a 10-14 pick than I could be swayed.  :-\

It occurs to me that Robert Williams plus a pick might get Sabonis. Williams has the potential to be a player that can be on the floor next to Turner. I really like Williams, but there are other rim protectors available out there.

Zach Lowe said Indy was committed to both their big men, so it's probably a moot point.

If the Celtics valued big men like Sabonis, they'd draft some. They almost never do.

Simply looking at it from a contract perspective, it would have to be either Brown for Sabonis or Smart/Yabu for Turner. Brown and Sabonis both need to be paid next year, while Smart and Turner have already been paid.

Sabonis makes half what Brown does. It's not really a match.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Indiana is looking for a running mate for Turner. They've already committed to paying him. Sabonis is going to cost too much to keep as a backup center. They really need to move him for someone who's a better fit.

Another NBA live level trade with no basis in reality.

Agree. I wouldn’t do it either. Wonder if they’d take Langford, Edwards, Yabusele  and Bucks pick for Sabonis? I doubt it, but would give them a lot of future cost control.
I don''t think we would offer Edwards in that deal.

Yeah, I really don't think he's just some throw-in. I, and I think DA is with me, value Edwards similarly to a first round pick. So 3 first rounders, including a lotto pick, for Sabonis? Seems premature of us

I can't get over how overrated Jaylen Brown is.

Marcus is sorta, but at least he's been here for so long and has paid his dues.

Brown is a good player, but his game still has weaknesses and he has some growing up to do.

He's also not as talented as Tatum or Hayward.
