  • GOT IT!!!
Let’s say Ainge would rather spend this cap space on a guy that can fill it up instead of a big like Vucevic with a ceiling, what would be your thoughts on it? I know the C’s have a huge hole now that Horford is gone but giving big money to a guy like Vucevic or similar feels like backwards thinking.

Personally I’m a big Kemba fan and think he fits the Celtic culture very well. I would much rather spend cap space on a guy that can get buckets and trade for a big like Capela. Regardless I think Kemba should get out of Charlotte while he can lol Just getting out ahead of this rumor and curious how you guys would like to see this cap space used.

No need for s high priced PG and needs the ball in his hands. Already have enough mouths to feed with Hayward/Tatum/Brown.

We need bigs first. We don't even have a legit PF or Center.

I'd much rather we go after D'Lo + add 2 decent centers.

I love Kemba but he's already 29 and D'Lo is 23 and I actually think he could fit our timeline better.

Also, I believe Kemba will command upwards of 35M AAV (correct me if wrong) while a max for D'Lo is 4/117M (27M first year in cap). The latter sounds better to me.

I like Kemba. But personally, I'd use the 35 mil in cap space to get Beverly, Cousins and deal for Adams.

Love to have Kemba but we REALLY need a center and a power forward..so its a hard pass
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Yeah, I agree with this. I do not think Russell is currently better than Kemba, but his salary is considerably less and it would give us more options moving forward. I just do not know what the end goal would be in signing Kemba since it doesn't look like we are going to be competing in the next couple of years.

I also think Russell has more room to grow and improve going forward. We saw what happened when he left LAL and joined BKN who has had better coaching and a stable front office as of recently. I think a team with him, Hayward, Brown + Tatum would be fun and if they click, might surprise a lot of people. No, they aren't true title threats obviously, but they could grow + improve together and we could hope to add another legit star (or groom one) in the future.

Bad. We had our experience with an undersized PG that needs the ball to be effective and plays no defense. It's entertaining to watch during the regular season, but  when the playoffs start the fun goes away.

I'd rather use the money on a big and grab a pg like Rubio on the cheaper side.
