Poirier looked good in a short 9 minutes +10,3pts 4rbs, 3 ast, and a block.

Proud of him....he DID look a lot better. Kudos to him.

He just needs some playing time. He's huge and he can pass. The block he threw up was a good one kept in bounds. I was thinking watching him that wasn't he suppose to be a shot blocker and a few seconds later he blocked one. I'm rooting for him.

just get Stevens to play him more and practice BIG BALL a little

What was Brad thinking playing Semi as the Center

i think he has no confidence in himself , using bigs when he needs to .

Brad should've rode Carsen Edwards the rest of the game. When that kid gets hot you have to ride him! It was another fantastic team win.

TP.....CBS also tends to ice guys like him at times.  Im like if he can get me 25 -30 and go off ....don't be shy CBS ....like smh ....let him go to work .

So you play Edwards to the end - who sits?  Do you go with no big?  Or do you sit Tatum and risk him sulking?  They're playing great, but it's still a star's league and with players opting out or forcing trades, you have to account for ego with a guy you're going to need to  keep around long term.

Big body down low, not afraid of contact, gobbles up rebounds, reliant scoring in the paint, but as advertised, leaves a lot to be desired on defense.
I think it's a nice change of pace to have a guy who can get offensive rebounds/tips and score with efficiency in the paint.

Almost forgot, he has some court vision, got some nice passes into the paint.

Yeah, this sums it up nicely. He got into good positions on offence, leading to good dump-off passes when his man helped and offensive rebounds. 4 offensive rebounds in 25 minutes is awesome.

He also picks his shots nicely - 80% from the field and the FT line. He's not a good defender, but this isn't a surprise to anyone. With Theis and Rob healthy it should be quite a good trio, all with different strengths. Personally I'd bring Kanter off the bench, with how Theis has looked.

Kanter = offensive rebounding, scoring.
Theis = solid on both ends, good shot-blocker.
Williams = really good shot-blocker and athlete, above-average passer, but very raw and foul-prone.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

I re-watched the game, focusing on center play.  Celts were in a hybrid zone defense with players sticking near their man, but switching as needed.  When Kanter switched out on a smaller ballhandler, it left the opposing center (often Bryant) with a mismatch against Kemba or Smart for example.  Kanter was not able to recover quickly enough to help down low.  It's hard, but this is what he has to work on.

At his age, I think he is what he is and we have to accept it. I like him but there is a reason he was bought out last year
