Brissett was solid for Boston last year and he could help the C?s right now with his defensive versatility. Would have been a nice player to have yesterday as he can cover the 2/3/4. Oshae is currently playing for the Long Island Nets. He?d be an upgrade over most of the non-rotation players. Get him Brad!

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I believe the rule is - so long as he was not on an NBA roster prior to March 01, then the player is eligible for the playoffs.

So yes, Brissett can play in the playoffs.

Yeah, and I think Craig is the better player of the two.

Well, Craig has been with the team for about 3 games. It?s going to take him time to get acclimated.

Brissett was with Boston for an entire season last year and averaged 12mpg. He played reasonably well, which is more than can be said for Tillman, Davison, Schierman, Walsh, Peterson.  :D

I'll like to see them bring Brissett back. He can help defensively. He can also perform well without having played many minutes or even at all.

Keith Pompey: The Sixers are signing Oshae Brissett to a 10-day contract, according to sources. The Sixers were granted a roster hardship exception to sign an additional player to a 10-day contract.  via x.com

I continue to be surprised that people are kvetching/consternation about Lonnie Walker and Oshae Brissett.  I think Craig is better than either of them and he hardly plays, hardly moves the needle.  I would be happy with Brissett on a min deal, but you can't even measure the small amount he would move our needle.  I see Walker moving the needle even less.

I think where the roster ended up is completely understandable.  Craig is a little more useful than either Brissett or Walker.  Walsh and Scheierman are less useful but you aren't going to cut them (rookie deals) to make room for Brissett.  Tillman is certainly expendable.  In hindsight, Brissett would have been more useful than Tillman, probably, but I understand why they signed him.  He has been a disappointment, but I understand and probably would have kept Tillman over Brissett too.  At the time, he seemed like a better fit.

I doubt any of these guys, Brissett, Walker, Springer, Tillman, would change the outcome of even 1 game, and definitely not in the playoffs.

There was a burgeoning feeling of something nice having Springer on the bench.  Move the needle in the playoffs - doubtful.  But a tough defensive minutes now and again would have been useful.  I think Craig too is similarly useful - can pop in and not be costly, and play hard - get an extra possession, hit a three.  I?d love to think him as this team?s James Posey, but that?s asking a bit much.
