1. WAS - Cooper Flagg. F. Duke. Arguably one of the five best prospects of this century so far. A franchise-altering talent. Comp: Scottie Pippen
2. UTA - Dylan Harper. G. Rutgers. Dominant scoring lefty guard who would probably be the #1 pick if it werent for Flagg. Comp: James Harden
3. PHI - Ace Bailey. F. Rutgers. Harpers college teammate who has the potential to be just as dominant of a scorer in the NBA. Rare shot-making abilities for a 6 foot 10 player. Scouts question his motor and ability to put it all together, but the upside is astounding. Comp: Brandon Ingram
4. CHA - V.J. Edgecomb. G. Baylor. A bit erratic on offense but his defense and athleticism are so incredibly enticing that he has to be a Top 5 pick. Comp: Jaylen Brown
5. NOP - Kasparas Jakucionis. G. Illinois. Big guard with an improving shooting stroke who can change directions quickly and is a game-changer on the offensive end of the ball. Will need to improve turnovers if he wants to reach his full potential. Comp: taller Goran Dragic
6. BKN - Tre Johnson. G/F. Texas. Probably the best shooter in the draft. Doesn't project as a first option on a team but an absolute sniper who can also create his own shot. Comp: Khris Middleton.
7. TOR - Egor Demin. G/F. BYU. You could argue that this would be a reach at #7, but TOR needs a playmaker and Demins rare combo of size and elite vision may be too alluring to pass up on. Can he be what Ben Simmons was supposed to be? Comp: better defensive Josh Giddey
8. MIA - Jeremiah Fears. G. Oklahoma. The Heat need a point guard, and Fears was one of the most dynamic (and youngest) in all of college basketball last season. The pairing of Fears and Herro may not be ideal, especially defensively, but I think his upside is too intriguing to pass on here. He has an edge and swagger to him which will serve him well at the next level. Comp: Devin Harris
9. SAS - Kon Knueppel. G/F. Duke. Time for SAS to start putting shooting around the Wemby-Fox combo. KK has proved this year at Duke that hes more than just a shooter - he's a good passer/decision maker on offense and works his tail off on defensive despite physical limitations. Comp: Desmond Bane
10. POR - Liam McNeeley. F. UCONN. POR drafts Huskies in back-to-back years. McNeeley may not be the best player available, but he is the best shooter available - something the Blazers have been sorely lacking this season. In addition to his projected 3pt% at the next level, McNeeleys athletisism is expected to tranlate nicely as well. Comp: Cam Johnson
11. CHI - Khaman Maluach. C. Duke. I'm not the biggest believer in Maluach. I see more Bol Bol/Mo Bamba than I do Jaren Jackson/Clint Capela. But Nikola Vucevic is approaching his mid-30s and Chicago needs another big. Comp: Mark Williams who can step out and shoot a bit
12. DAL - Jase Richardson. G. Michigan State. Apparently DAL traded their franchise PF this year. Now they badley need scoring in the backcourt, especially since Kyrie will be out most of next year. Richardson isn't a traditional point guard, but is a bucket-getter and i think his game will translate well to the NBA. Comp: Jordan Poole
13. ATL - Asa Newell. F/C. Georgia. Hawks take the local kid who is a dream fit for a team posed to lose Clint Capela in free agency. Newell plays with a ton of heart and will be really good if he can continue to develop an outside shot, something Capela was never able to do. Comp: John Collins with better D.
14. HOU - Derik Queen. F/C. Maryland. HOU is playing with house money here. They have a ton of assets and just need to not overthink fit here and just take the BPA. Queen is super fun to watch: a modern big man who can score at will and has the handles of a guard. Comp: Naz Reid
15. ORL - Collin Murray-Boyles. F. South Carolina. Like the Rockets, the Magic need to ignore fit and just draft the best guy on the board. CMB has seen his stock shoot up tremendously after a great season at South Carolina where he really showcased his passing and defense. Comp: Thaddeus Young.
16. SAS - Nolan Traore. PG. France. French PG's scare me a bit. See: Killian Hayes, Frank Ntilikina, Theo Maledon. But this is late enough into the first round that I think the Spurs would feel comfortable taking a swing on Traore here. Couldnt hurt to get some french pals for Wemby. Comp: Ramon Sessions
17. UTA - Ben Saraf. G/F. Israel. Saraf may be somewhat of a risk here, but his combination of size and playmaking ability make him an intriguing prospect. I think Utah feels comfortable making a risky pick like this after getting a sure thing in Harper. Comp: Deni Avdija.
18. MIN - Rasheer Fleming. PF. St. Josephs. The Wolves may lose Reid this offseason, and need to start thinking of ways they can fill his shoes. Even if they dont lose Reid, I think Fleming is the correct pick here. Fleming is one of the best floor spacing bigs left on the floor, and MIN is a team that has excelled when pairing a 3 point shooter with Gobert. Comp: bigger PJ Washington.
19. BKN - Noa Essengue. F. France. Though i may not have the slightest clue how to pronounce his last name, I know that Essengue is the highest upside two-way guy left on the board at this point. Taking BPA is what i'd do if I were the Nets GM, especially with the glutton of picks they have. Comp: Nic Batum
20. OKC - Thomas Sorber. C. Georgetown. Although Chet has been great since coming back this year, OKC will need some insurance if he goes down again. Sorber was one of the most impressive big men in all of college basketball last season, and just seems to know what to do when the ball is in his hands. A good fit for OKC, who continue to add to their embarrasment of riches. Comp: Day'ron Sharpe.
21. MIA - Nique Clifford. G/F. Colorado State. I'm surprised how many mocks ive seen which have Clifford falling to the second round. It's clear the dude knows how to play and play hard. Has become more of a playmaking/scoring threat and is a really good rebounder for his size. As cringe as it is to say, he'd be a perfect fit for "Heat Culture." Comp: Josh Hart
22. IND - Danny Wolf. C. Michigan If you havent seen Wolf play, I suggest you do so. I just never get tired of seeing 7 footers who play like guards. I definitely think there is a place for Wolf in the NBA. Comp: more agile Kelly Olynyk
23. ATL - Kam Jones. G/F. Marquette. quick and big guard with an arsenal of moves to create space and finish. Would be a fun fit in ATL next to Young and Daniels. Comp: Caris LeVert
24. WAS - Boogie Fland. PG. Alabama. Would almost certainly be a lottery pick if he wasn't A. injured and B. Short. Despite his limitations, I could see Fland becoming a really good bucket-getter of the bench for a team in the NBA. Comp: Cole Anthony.
25. ORL - Will Riley. G/F. Illinois. Riley is a big wing who some believe is the biggest slepper of the first round given his size, playmaking, and shooting ability. But he will have to improve defensively if he wants to reach his max potential. Comp: Mikal Bridges minus the defense.
26. BKN - Hugo Gonzalez. SF. Spain. Another high upside pick for Brooklyn. Gonzalez has a rare combination of instincts and athleticism, but will need to improve as a shooter. Comp: Christian Braun without the knock-down 3's
27. BKN - Sergio de Larrea. PG. Spain. Another spaniard for the Nets. I know less about De Larrea than anyone else projected to go in the first round, but from what i hear he is extremely enticing. A big 6'6 point guard who really knows how to play the game. Sounds like he's worth a swing in the late 1st round. Comp: Beno Udrih
28. BOS - Johni Broome. PF/C. Auburn. Did you know that Al Horford is almost 40? Brads main objective in this draft should be to get someone who can take some of Als minutes when he inevitably retires in the next few years. A hall of famer like Al is going to leave big shoes to fill, so i like the idea of bringing in a guy who has played 4 years of college ball and has one of ther highest IQ's of any big in the draft. Comp: Markieff Morris
29. PHX - Labaron Philon. PG. Alabama. Phoenix is an absolute mess and needs everything. Bringing in a guy who actually cares about defense would be a good start. I'm higher on Philon than most, as i really think his grit and tenacity will translate well to the next level. Comp: TJ McConnell
30. LAC - Yaxel Lundeborg. PF. UAB. It's strange seeing the Clippers back in the first round after mortgaging their entire future (including SGA) for George and Leonard. The front office insist the team is still in win-now mode, so this would be a pretty good move for them. Lundeborg is the most NBA-ready guy left on the board and can really scrap defensively and is the best rebounder in the class. Comp: Kenneth Faried.
31. BOS - Alex Karban. F. UCONN. Not the sexiest pick, I know. But Karaban is a guy who, like Broome, is NBA-ready and has played in many big games already in his career. Also, it doesnt hurt that he is one of the best 3 point shooters left on the board and obviously the celtics place a huge emphasis on that skill. Comp: Corey Kispert
