For the love of God Brad sign cousins or a big. Kornet cannot be the guy that starts or replaces Williams when he is hurt. And grant is needed in other areas.

Terrible news but not wholly unsurprising.

Ugh, three months after he last played this is needed?  That’s concerning.

Yeah, that was my initial takeaway also.

Yeah, that's not good.  Haven't we been told all off-season that the leg was doing great, no long term effects, etc.?

So, he's likely to miss the start of the season.  Horford can't play back to backs.

Get used to starting center Luke Kornet.

Brad's off-season free agent shopping:

The obvious questions is why couldn't they figure this out 4-6 weeks ago?

With RWill and Gallinari out, looks like we are going to see a lot of Vonleh and Kornet (ouch).

I wonder if one of the remaining vet big FAs (Whiteside?) will see this as an opportunity to start the season as a starter?

God no. Kornet is terrible.

Play Tatum at the 4 and start brogdan. Al at the 5. Back to backs play grant for Al.

Once again the bench is littered with guys that have no business playing meaningful minutes.

This is why a third of your roster can't blow

This is such a disaster from a team building perspective by ownership and management. Truly ridiculous. They have one legitimate big man on the roster who is any good and he’s 35. The decision to not use the $17 mil TPE is an abject disaster.

Now you have to count on Hauser and the scrap heap bigs on the bench to spell Tatum, brown, Al and Rob who will get hurt again this season at some point. Awful.

The fact Brad thinks he can get away filling out a lot the bench with g leaguers and guys that haven’t been in the league in years is ridiculous.
