Big sports news on the Cape today. After 40 years of being the Chatham A's the local Cape League team will be changing its name to the Anglers.  Apparently MLB is putting the squeeze on the Cape teams for licensing on items with "borrowed MLB names".

My guess is everyone will still keep calling them the A's anyhow.  The Cape League is made up of premiere NCAA players.  The A's have sent a laundry list of excellent players to the majors, including; Jeff Bagwell, Jason Bay, Mike Lowell and Evan Longoria.

The team and the league are local staples with a large following.  It's going to be strange having a new name, but I guess we'll get used to it.

When I was a weeee boy I was a regular at A's games, I used to get a few bucks turning in foul balls for 25 cents a piece. Anglers will be strange.
