curry & beasley core can be exciting , ray for mayo anyone? 3 top picks aka future Okc?

And Jeff Green...

I think they could both be your starting forwards if you had a decent defensive center. They both are tweeners and could give some teams issues.

There is 0% chance that Golden State moves Curry for Rondo.  This has been explored and rejected.

I agree. A trade would have to involve the Cs taking back Biedrins contract and then something on top of that.

Hmm...

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1611/stephen-curry

Stephen Curry has been ruled out for Wednesday's game due to his lingering foot injury.
Curry warmed up prior to the game and said he felt "pretty good," which is encouraging, but it's not surprising to see Golden State play it safe. Consider him questionable for Friday's road game in Philly.

Sure, he's hurt and recovering. But maybe they're "playing it safe" also because they're looking to deal him to someone.

Nah, Curry has been hurt off-and-on all season.  Some of his earlier issues have been attributed to coming back too early, so I'm sure Golden State is being cautious.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I honestly don't see the C's moving Rondo at this point - sure, they're shopping him hard but that doesn't mean they'd give him away. With all of the talk swirling about his difficulty, what could they really get for him? The biggest mistake Danny Ainge could make would be to settle on a deal for Rondo and get a bunch of mediocrity back.

If I were a GM (which I'm definitely not, lol) I'd hold on to Rondo for the rest of the season, try to get the Beasley deal done and see how those two work on the court for the rest of this season. Then revisit Rondo trade scenarios + Beas sign-and-trades in the offseason should disaster ensue. Rondo really hasn't had an opportunity with a young, athletic scorer and I'm DYING to see what he could do before we give up on him.

As I said on the front page, I love this "rumor".  Let's break it down:

1.  In December, the Celtics had discussions with Golden State about a Stephen Curry-for-Rondo deal, and one source says it was Golden State that decided against pulling the trigger.

2.  But Curry's recent ankle injuries, which have caused him several problems in his short career, have given the Celtics pause.

3.  The potential trade is still being discussed by Boston's braintrust, but they aren't sure they want to go forward with it.

4.  It also isn't clear whether the Warriors would be willing to do it.

5.  Other players would have to be thrown in to make it work financially.

So, what do we gather from this?  Golden State doesn't want to do the deal, and Boston might not want to do the deal, but regardless, it doesn't work financially.  Fantastic journalism there.

... and yet, we'll discuss this "potential trade" ad nauseum until it doesn't happen. And then wonder for weeks why Danny didn't "pull the trigger" on it.
Celtics fan for life.

Please do.  I never mind being reminded when I was right.

The only sense this makes is if Golden State has another trade in mind for Ellis. Rondo & Ellis couldn't coexist offensively or defensively.

Well, that's a bit harsh. Curry's had a ton of problems with sprained ankles, but nothing as serious as the problems that plagued Roy.

If Curry was healthy, maybe. But he seems way too fragile to trade for.

Rondo is a ball dominant pg who distributes the ball to whoever is most likely to score. He is best when he is out and running. Ellis is a lightning quick slasher who needs his riches rationed so he doesn't chuck. I think they are the prefect combo back court for a fast break team.

  • Rondo = Good

taking back damaged goods is probably the only way the Celtics get back a potential star for Rondo -- seeing as he's reportedly seen as damaged goods himself (or else the Celtics wouldn't be shopping him so hard).
