I think they want JO because they're gonna make a move with Milicic.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

well the lakers just turned down an offer to take beasley for a first round pick because they didnt want his 6m contract... meaning that I see no reason why the wolves wouldnt trade him for JO and the clippers first or something

No joke, but I don't think I would move a first for him also.

I would give up JO and maybe a second pick. Dont want to give up a first incase he leaves in free agency.

ok, i certainly won't earn a tp for this commetn, but if we get beasley, does that mean a pierce deal is closer?

I know there are NBA packages that allow people in Boston to watch T-Wolves games, but do people actually do that?  I mean, we have many here commenting definitively on Beasley, but how many have seen him play a single game this year -- or more than 2 a year in the past?
I realize he is a project as a person and player, but at 23 and 6'10" and quality offensive skills, how many of us have seen enough of him to be certain he isn't a future piece of the puzzle?

Great point I have to rely on regular and advanced statistics which makes me more likely to trust danny on something like this. I did love watching him play in college and thought he was going to be really good.

I admit I've rarely watched Michael Beasley but I've read detailed assessments of his game from people who do watch him and know their stuff, and it's not encouraging.

He would have to drastically change his game and his attitude to become a truly valuable player.  I wouldn't mind taking him on as a project if it weren't likely that he'll be looking for the same kind of multi-year contract that Green was probably going to be looking for after this season (8-10 million a year for 4 years).

i was against trading for beasley based his past performances however he has just turned 23, and could easly more potential than any late rounder danny could pick.

hope it's jermaine and clipper pick for

beasley

don't think he helps this year but might not be the worst building block

i would not trade our pick however.

again, I'd be on board with trading JO and a 1st for Beasley if the idea were that Beasley is likely a better talent gamble than any player we'd get with the Clippers pick -- if it weren't for the fact that Beasley is probably going to be looking for 4 years / $30-35 million this summer, and I bet some team is going to give it to him, even though he's probably only worth about half that right now.

Did the postgame guy just say KG will be our full time center from now on? Is it a done deal?

Hopefully Danny makes another really solid move like this. Rondo with young legs is something we have yet to see. Hope we keep Rondo.

I heard Gorman, Tanguay, and Dickerson all say that JO will be out for some time. However, Tommy said in the pre-game that this is probably it for JO, or something similar. I really doubt Dickerson's report that he went to see a hand specialist, but the C's still don't know the results. Really?

The broadcast team sounding pessimistic + the silence from the the team + the Beasley rumors that coincidentally surfaced today when JO went to see a specialist = JO most likely having to have season ending wrist surgery and the C's trying to trade his expiring deal, along with other assets (picks, cash, Moore, etc.), for Beasley.

He's only 23 and he's an athletic 6'9 player who can shoot but needs to work on his shot selection and defense. That's better than a late first. Next year if someone signs him to an offer that high we might be able to move him for a first. I think it's a good deal granted I haven't seen him play a ton.
