Thanks for signing on, JT11, you are a most worthy opponent.  I am also a novice at this, and am relying strictly on luck to get me through.  (Wish I had a crystal ball...  ;) )  Good luck!  It should be fun!

Nope ... we tried, but no takers ... looks like MattG12 will win this round by default, (by default of whoever didn't show up, haha). ;)

  • Yup
I'll take Prince Fielder for game 2

looks like I wasted a good game from Braun up against a no-pick.
Yup

That's what I don't understand.  How is this scored?  Total bases, cumulative, or just  wins against your game opponent?  And is this double elimination?  Round robin?  or One (series) and done?  If it is total bases, it doesn't matter if you had an opponent or not...  Is it some kind of combination?  I just don't get it ???

It's scored the same as the regular season game ... total of bases, but for each game. If you win the most games, you win, if it's a tie, then we use total bases for the series, if still a tie, then we'll use type of hits, (HRs beat Triples, etc.), if still tied, then we'll use something like hits or RBI's. (Please correct if I'm wrong, Redz) :)

** Leaders are marked in red, followers are marked in blue, and ties are marked in purple. All picks are due at the time of that game's start, and in case of a tie, the total bases difference decides the winner, if it's still a tie, then the type of hit decides, (HRs beat Triples, Triples beat Doubles, etc.), if still a tie, then RBIs decide, (if number of wins are still tied at end of series, despite above, then total number of hits decides). Missed picks, late picks, and DNPs, will result in a zero score, or minus one hit/one base if opponent gets a zero. Thanks to everyone for playing/helping this year, we hope to see you again next season, and try to bring someone new with you ... the more the merrier! **

I suppose, since the series is tied, that we could still make a game of it starting with game three, but if we haven't found anyone else to play by now, I doubt we're going to. Oh, well ... we tried, (and you're certainly deserving of the next round, Matt). Can you imagine if you hadn't taken time off from the game this summer? You would've blown the rest of us away, lol!

Haha I suppose... or I could have posted goose eggs for all of those games since this game is like 90% luck and timing.
