Even after the Phillies got down 3-1 in this series, I was still surprisingly confident.  I expected the Phillies to win this game and believe it or not, I'm expecting to see a win from Pedro on Wednesday and have this game go to a game 7.

When a guy who has a picture of HIMSELF as a centaur (half man-half horse for those who don't know what a centaur is) above his bed wins a world series ring, you know life just isn't fair.  Defines it.

That is all.

I live in New York and I am not looking forward to the next several days (Red Sox fan here).

On a basketball related note, I really really hope LBJ stays in Cleveland and doesn't end up in NYC...

Several days?!? They'll be milking this until next year's game 4 loss to the Red Sox ... so get used to it!

This year the Yankees were the best team in baseball.  Get over it.

But I thought that Utley should have been the series MVP, even though the Phillies lost.  My second choice would have been Mariano Rivera, who is simply amazing at age 38.

Yeh.  I've grown soft.

I actually feel the urge to give the Yankees some credit this year.  For some reason I never thought they'd win this year, and they did so by playing well in the clutch - and having an unstoppable closer.
Yup

Feel bad for the Phillies offense, could have made it a 7 game series.
