I don’t think this team really likes each other. Seems to be absolutely no chemistry and a rotten vibe to them
The team has no winners on it and it shows. Has major “loser” vibes.

I don’t think they trust each other or the coach. They play like a team hoping to win not a team expecting to. As soon as some adversity hit we see what happens, the second guessing began.

Yeah it seems like EVERYONE is asking postgame why Jaylen never has a play drawn for him to take last minute shots. Always Tatum. Even though Jaylen legit hit a bucket to make it 117-113, and Tatum earlier missed a layup AND then missed a bad 3 right before the final sequence
I honestly can’t even remember the last time they drew up a play for JB down the stretch.
they don't and they should have because he wasn't 4-12 for the night unlike Tatum

At this point just take the three seed and rest guys. Brooklyn by far is the easiest first round opponent. The Knicks and Miami would put effort and out heart the Celtics

Joe saying in his presser that GWill was meant to go the other way ans get the ball in. Handoff to Tatum or pass to brown but Hardy, probably because of his Celtics experience, anticipated it and blocked off the passing lanes and GWill was forced into going to the basket with time going down

So… Joe admitted that Hardy is the better coach.    :'(

You know, I think I can understand Jaylen’s POV a little when he says he feels he’s “sacrificed” a bit being the #2 here.

I mean, none of the final 3 possessions had Jaylen taking a shot despite being probably the best player on the C’s tonight and already having hit a big bucket before to make it 117-113. Feels like all our ATO plays or final second shots late go to Tatum. Idk why

If you look at the last possession though the defense was all over the Jays like a cheap suit

Yeah but Mazz himself said the playcall was for Tatum.

Like why Tatum?? He blew the previous few possessions and by that logic it would be too predictable they’d go to JT late. The Jazz also doubled him most of the game for that reason

Btw, Tatum had ZERO second half field goals

I’m sorry but for some “MVP candidate” and Top-5 player, Tatum has far too many of these games where he doesn’t hit a bucket in a half. Like that’s unreal. Even when the other superstars have bad games or halves they typically still score some buckets and/or get to the line regularly

Also, how dumb does ownership and management look for not making a deal for a legit big man? Maybe they should have ponied up and gave up some picks for Poeltl. That guys looks great in Toronto right now. Pretty sure he could have helped rebound a bit. But for some reason, Cs are content with waiting for Robert Williams to miss 75% of the season instead. So ridiculous.

They liked each other just fine last year and seemed close. What's changed? Perhaps a pushover, player's coach who isn't a leader and doesn't hold his players accountable isn't what this young group needed? Go figure.

Sacramento is going to run the Celtics out of the arena Tuesday. Going to be a beating. Two teams going in opposite directions.

There is no such thing as easy opponent for this team at this point.

If this is the case Joe should have figured that was going to happen and done something different.

I think the play they ran had multiple options but GWill went for the worst one. Tatum didn’t do much to try to get free

I get the criticism of Joe. It I’m not prepared to give the players a pass…Tatum looked totally not engaged tonight, maybe he was tired. If so then I can blame Joe for not sitting him and overplaying him through the season.  Bit the execution wasn’t the greatest from the players

Also this going for 2 for 1s is a waste imo if you just take a bad shot for your first, may as well work for a good shot even if you don’t get the last shot. But the stats nerds probably have data saying going for a 2 for 1 is always better so what do I know :police:

Well Muscala actually looked solid today and was grabbing boards

Our idiot coach though played Kornet down the stretch and that stiff just stared on defense while guys are driving by for layups and froze when a rebound was to be had

Like bro that’s literally the only reason you’re on the court  >:(

Muscala is an end of bench big. Poeltl would have been your starting center. Williams could come off the bench if he can ever string a few healthy games together.

People are giving GWill flack for that last play but GWill was literally the main reason besides Jaylen we had a chance to win the game

Maybe blame Tatum for being awful in the 2nd half, or Kornet for just being a frozen twig out there on defense and when watching the Jazz just rebound balls right in front of him.

Someone should tell Mazzulla you can run plays for guys other than Tatum too. Teams aren’t always stupid either, they’ll defend the best player as best they can like the Jazz did with JT late too
