The LA Clippers are heading to a new arena next season, and they're bringing a new logo, court and uniforms with them.

The team showed off its new look on Monday, blending the past, present and future of the franchise ahead of its move to its own arena, Intuit Dome, later this year.

Jerseys are improved.   But that was a low bar to begin with.

I'm glad they're getting their own place, finally, and the jerseys are much improved, IMO. I especially like the blue one. I was never a fan of how they brought black into their unis, nor of that script they used, the two things combining to form what I could only think of as a "thug life" look. Like they were the official basketball team of Death Row Records.

The logo, though it looks nice overall and has some neat little components (such as custom font, and the "N" in "Los Angeles" being the north marker on the compass), I think the oncoming view of the ship makes it look not like a clipper ship but like a modern cruise ship.

On the whole, though, a big improvement for me.

I used to go to Clippers games while I was going to college in San Diego in the 80s, including a Celtics game. Tickets behind the basket were $2, and they never sold out. I supported them until they moved to LA, where I grew up. LA is a Lakers town. The Clippers are still the Clippers until they win a title.
