The worst thing that happened to Ja Morant was being drafted into a small market team. Because of his talent & what he means to Memphis, Morant’s never been held accountable by the local media.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for Chris Vernon during this whole Morant saga. The first time these stories were broached by outside media, he laughed how stupid and fake these reports were. When the first gun footage came out, Vernon acted as though Morant was somehow an adolescent victim.

Memphis media knows that Morant is the golden ticket and if you report anything negative, you’re cut off.

What’s hilarious is that the media tried to spin that Dillon Brooks was the problem for the Grizzlies.

One of my favorite tweets about him said. He's going to be the first guy to escape the NBA for the hood.
Still don't believe in Joe.

Think you’re dramatically overselling the importance of local media here.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I'm curious how much power the Grizzlies / NBA has here.  Was Morant on probation?  Did he break a rule?

If he's not suspended for more than 20 games then that's a joke. They had so much drama with him just this past season and even had him do "counseling" and "rehab", which evidently didn't work (shocker, it was only for 1-2 days btw). He's already been given many second chances.

Amazing that a guy getting paid $200m feels he needs to go to the thug life when most people in that life are trying to get out of that life.

Not surprised this latest video was when Ja was with his friend Davonte Pack...he seems to be a common denominator in most of these incidents. Ja gotta realize which of his entourage is lifting him up and which is bringing him down.

Looks like Zion is always injured, Ja Morant always with his gun problems, and RJ Barrett not consistent enough.

The best plyer from that first-round draft class is probably Garland? Or Hachimura coming in second?
