CP3, Booker, Durant and Ayton does look impossible to defend. Good basis for team defense as well.

Booker doesn’t play defense and CP3 is now a liability on that end of the court. The West is going to be an absolute bloodbath. Good news for the C’s.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

What does the Suns lineup look like now?

G: CP3, C Payne
G: D Booker,
F:
F: Durant, TJ Warren, Saric
C: Ayton, Biyombo

What else do they have?

Torrey Craig as the fifth starter probably.

T Craig is good. More quickness, athleticism, defensive speed.

G: Chris Paul, Cam Payne
G: Devin Booker, Damion Lee, L Shamet
F: Torrey Craig, Okogie
F: Durant, TJ Warren, Saric
C: Ayton, Biyombo

They do remind me a bit of DEN. Jokic, J Murray, M Porter Jr and A Gordon (Ayton role).

I lik PHO's ability to defend better than DEN + ability to exploit Jokic in the PnR more than I like DEN's ability to exploit PHO.

Didn't CP3 & Booker kill Jokic in the playoffs a few years ago in the PnR?

That is a solid albeit injury prone Big 4.

(1) PHO
(2) DAL
(3) DEN

My contenders in the West by rank. Possible addition in LAC if Kawhi is healthy come playoff time.

I do not see GSW, MEM or SAC as contenders. Slight chance for NOP but I feel it is a year too soon despite having the talent to do so.

Love ya, man, but you’re really overrating the Mavs lol Especially in the playoffs when things slow down and you have to actually, you know, defend, they’re going to be really lacking in that regard. I also think there’s going to be a much more significant challenge in them sharing the court together, as Luka is so ball dominant it’s going to be a major shift for him.

Phoenix definitely has a chance to be up there, but they’ve got a really shaky injury history. Going to be hard for them to make it that long in a now deeper West, particularly without great depth.

I’d this the most desperate trade in NBA history? That’s a gamble upon gambles.

Brooklyn have a pretty solid team post trade.

G: Dinwiddie, Watanabe, P Mills
G: Joe Haris, Cam Thomas, Seth Curry
F: Mikal Bridges, R O'Neale
F: B Simmons, Finney Smith
C: N Claxton

That is a solid .500 team. Strong defensive team. Some passing, some shooting, good rebounding.

Yuh, way better than we looked immediately after the PP/KG trade to BKN. Obviously Durant is better than trade-era Pierce, but still, I love these moves for the Nets.

Now all they need to do to stay competitive for 15 years + is figure out how to get rid of Simmons (?!?!?!?!) and don't draft an Anthony Bennett.

Simmons might have negative trade value, can't wait to see how BKN deal with it!!

Ainge loves his “assets,” but what’s the real value of such an asset if nobody is willing to accept them in a trade with you before the asset must be used (pick must be taken), especially if the pick is top-4 protected?

That said, Ainge is making the right moves. He just needs to be sure he drafts great because free agents are not interested in SLC and nobody is interested in helping Danny unload surplus picks that exceed the number of available roster spots (and draft-and-stash is limited to two players), as we last witnessed in the mid/late 2010s

Dallas’ defence is garbage. No chance of being #2

I don’t think Boston does anything today. Just tries to find a buy out market player.

They don’t “need” to do anything, but they definitely should to improve their chances of a title; Gallinari isn’t going to help them and PP isn’t part of their future; there’s value there to help them now
