Why? Just because he’s not Giannis?

Out of all the potential Celtics retreads that have been proposed over the past several years he actually makes the most sense, being the best fit at a position of need this year and going forward.

If Steve Bullpet is reporting it then it’s definitely not real.

Still shoots threes at a pretty good clip. But I would prefer a strong rebounder - we don't need scoring help.

Pritchard, Gallo, and Jackson makes the dollars work. Throw in (2) 2023 second-rounders, I wonder if Danny bites. Utah would certainly love Pritchard and it would be a good opportunity, especially if they go full-tank-job as they should to try to get Wembanyama. If KO got along well with Horford, Smart and JB, I say go for it. We could conceivably make it work with Horford/KO as our front-court when Timelord is hurt.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

How could you forget?
:P

Somewhat serious question… If Gobert netted 4 first round picks and a swap, how many is DA going to want for Kelly O’.  At least two, right?

I am not a big fan of his defense.   He is a smart player who can shoot.    In some ways he 'd be a big upgrade over Kornett in others he is not.

I think he's actually pretty good at defense, except as a rim protector.

If we can get him cheap I would like it. I would rather see him play than Houser.

So would the Celtics have to add an extra 2nd rounder to a team like the Spurs who could take an extra player off the group going to Utah to make it easier for the Jazz to take these players?   They are trying to get over the floor.

I think that's right - he makes a good pair with Rob. Also like Al and Rob, you can run offense through him. And unlike Poeltl, Plumlee, and other bigs who've been proposed on here, he's not a spacing problem when paired with Rob.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

If the price is right, I would love Olynyk here. Can shoot and pass, and is under rated on defense. As a bench big we would be much better after acquiring him. It would also make me feel a lot better when we have to sit Timelord or Horford as he could spot start for either.
