Coaches should not be PR people but should be coaches for athletes. The NBA already has too much non-sport bias like preferential treatment for star players with calls by the referees while rookies get the short end of the calls. Let the coaches just coach.

I just wish they would wear different collared shirts than the rest of the coaching staff so you can pick them out.

Dress pants and a sport jacket would be perfect.
Or dress pants and a team V-neck sweater, Bobby Knight style.
They are coaches, not Wall Street brokers.
The $1000+ suits are a bit much.

The current warmup suits look like PE teachers.

I'm more concerned about coaches and their ability to coach the team than how they dress lol.

In suits or in team gears or in pajamas doesn't matter, I just want exceptional coaching to the team and getting W.

No need for suit and tie. They just need to look professional and tidy, as representatives of the team.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I can’t think of a reason that wearing a suit would be important.  I’m an anti-suit guy in general though. Clothing is pretty irrelevant to me. Just avoid political statements or advertising.

100%

It ‘s the person the players will respect or follow ,  NBA is not the military or a beauty contest.

I really don't care. They could wear casual if they want. I think only thing is, no shorts and no "small t-shirts" (like tank tops or sleeveless), got to act a little professional

I mean FWIW, in the FIFA World Cup it felt like at least 1/4 of the managers wore casual clothing on the sidelines most games. Hell, Senegal's manager (forgot his name) was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants for most of the games

USA's coach, Berhalter, looked dressed like he was going to go shopping some days haha

No, but I would love them do a.baseball manager style.   Just like alternate jerseys,  make an alternative head coach uniform.

No. Managers wearing suits are a relict of a bygone era when men wore dress hats and dressed more formally. Vince Lombardi or Bear Bryant aren’t standing on the sidelines anymore.

Bring back suits and you might as well bring back ‘70s-80s short shorts and high socks.
