okay. and any thoughts on why this is important or whether this will change anything in the franchise? i am asking since i have no ideas on this, but would like to know more.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I believe he’s got a personal worth of around 4 billion, but the real interesting thing about Ishbia is that he’s got an NCAA basketball championship ring.

He was actually on Tom Izzo’s 1999-2000 championship Michigan State team with Jason Richardson.
5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Ishbia has been a top donor to the Michigan State AD the last several years, which has experienced its own accusations of coverups.

I’m not saying nothing will change with the Suns regarding the systemic issues, but he has not used his power to make changes in East Lansing, Michigan.  He does seem willing to spend liberally to win, so I expect him to be less penny-pinching than Sarver with respect to salaries.

I also expect that when Tom Izzo retires he will step into an advisory role in Phoenix.
