I knew it was going to be a big number for Judge, but man that is big.  9 years, 360 million to stay with the Yankees.

I should have written it down, because that's what I was predicting.  My guess was nine years at $40 million AAV. I didn't think it would be the Yankees, though.

Hopefully the last several years of that deal end really, really poorly for them.  Most sluggers -- particularly taller sluggers -- don't do much in their late 30s.  But, Judge has turned into a Yankees icon, so I see why they're taking the risk.  They can afford it.  Unlike the Red Sox, they're spending like a large market team that wants to contend.

Closer Kenley Jansen and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $32 million contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN.

As usual for MLB free agency. Those people deal in Monopoly money.

Not Bogaerts but still a significant move!

Intriguing signing. Kinda surprised the Sox are willing to pay $100M for a player that’s 29 years old and has never played MLB. Not a huge baseball fan, but I will definitely tune in to see how he does.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Happy to pay some unknown Japanese player who has never played in MLB but not their star homegrown shortstop who is really good. SMH. The Sox management is trash.

Based on all the tweets and reporting it does sound like Bogaerts will return. Maybe an announcement tonight or tomorrow

Wow Bogaerts to the Padres 11/280. Didn’t see that coming. Padres determined to spend.

Wow. Adios, Xander.

And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust …

Now we just wait for Devers to leave, or get traded, and the teardown will be complete.

Yeesh. I like Xander, but that’s just a ridiculous contract for a 30 year old player who batted .307 with 15hrs and 73RBI. Henry better pay Devers. Otherwise, sell the team.
