That was a tremendous goal by Mbappe.

Argentina are a mess emotionally. Out of it. Over-reacting to referee decisions. They are not with it.

They need extra time. A quick break to regain their composure.

Oh boy. Crazy last two minutes. Messi with a terrific opportunity but shot too centrally. A breakaway for France stopped by a cynical foul. Then Coman makes a great run down the line but blows the cross. Finally Argentina with the breakaway with Alvarez but he didn't have the pace to take the defender. Overload available but they couldn't get the ball down.

4 chances in 2 minutes. Two for either team. Right at the death.

I never understand how penalty kick fouls are called. Argentina got their first PK on a weak call similar to that, but the ref gave the France player a yellow card for a "dive"??

France almost in a 4-2-4 to finish. Mbappe, Muani in the center. Thuram on the left. Coman on the right. Rabiot and Tchouameni in the middle. Rabiot doing really well.

Very direct. A lot of power and pace. Coman providing most of the creativity and trickery. Mbappe playing as a second striker trying to pull the strings like Griezmann usually does for France. Fun balance.

Happy to see Camavinga get on. I think he is their best central midfielder in the tournament. I have been very surprised that he hasn't featured more. Even though he is at left back now, I am just happy to see him on the pitch. He can help provide balance now while France throw 4 attackers up front.

Kinda sad to see Argentina defending so much here.

Edit: Happy to see Martinez come on. They need some more up front. Get back in attack. I was going to suggest him or Correa come on. Get a 3rd attacker up there to help Alvarez and Messi.

Edit 2: Ah bummer. Alvarez comes off for Martinez.

Argentina can't build any attacks from the back. Only in counter attacks. I presume Paredes (great passer, long and short) has come on to help structure attacks.

The game has burst back into life again. France struggling now.

Don't want this game to end in penalties. So much randomness in penalties. I want someone to step up and win it in the next 15mins.

I don't think France should've taken off Rabiot for Fofana. Fofana too limited in attack.

Mbappe needs to drop off into the hole a bit more. Nobody there to link the attack from deep midfield into the final 3rd right now.

Camavinga's skill is amazing. Terrific close control and ball carrier.

He’s so good. Has made some important tackles too, despite being a natural mid more than a back
