The discrepancy in treatment of Kyrie and Leonard is mind boggling.    Reinforces wide held impression that the rules (refs, discipline, etc.) are inequitably applied, and will depend on your talent level.  Silver may try to distinguish the two situations if/when he fields the question from a reporter (don't expect Ernie Johnson gang to ask any hard questions), but would ring hollow to me.

I think some of the difference is one person actually said the hate, the other didn't.  It doesn't make what Irving did right, but he didn't actually say it.

I also think Tsai and the league thought that after Tsai's initial comment, Irving was going to do the right thing instead of him doubling down on his nonsense (though it is my understanding he did remove the tweet).

Leonard actually said the slur, but immediately apologised. Kyrie doubled down

Actually I just read Shams' tweet and the quotes. Let me get this straight, the Nets are "taking a stand" and even say he's unfit to be part of their organization right now... but it's basically just a 5-game suspension only...

How sincere the apology is and how many videos to watch is TBD.
