Not much out there. We all know Rob is going to be hurt at some point and Kornet has the ability of a practice player. Having to put him into a game for meaningful minutes is a disaster.

Yeah, it's a pretty spotty bunch:  Howard, Cousins, Kaminsky, Whiteside, Aldridge

Any other veteran names floating out there?  Maybe Harrell wants to play for free?  Cody Zeller?

Or, is the plan to get by for the first few months, and then trade for somebody?  I do not like this particular plan.  :-/

Harrell is facing some significant drug charges, so probably not him.

Me neither, but I see it as pretty likely being in record lux-tax territory now.  No reason to commit to another salary now when as bargain could be available at the deadline.

Dwight Howard has always been the best option.

Even if he wasn't, I don't think I'd want him even on a VM.  He's too much of a malcontent.

I do assume that he'll get the drug charges resolved before the season.  Three pounds of MJ is a lot, but it's still only MJ.

Celtics2021 can correct me here, but I think we're required to carry at least 14 players on our roster, and I think we only have 12 contracts now.

Pretty clear to me Bryant was going to Lakers several days ago as he’d be given far more PT.

LMA or Dwight Howard or Whiteside or Cousins

Well Shaq came to us at the end. Maybe Howard could pay some dividends too.

I'm starting to talk myself into Whiteside.  I hate him less than Howard.

That’s correct.  We can technically have 13 players for short stretches.  I would anticipate us having at least 14 players to start the year, and I would put money on Davison and Begarin being two of those 14.

We’ve also seen reporting from Brian Robb that Kornet isn’t fully guaranteed, so he may not make it past whenever his guarantee will have been paid for.

Very scary thought
Why?  Excellent rebounder.  Blocks shots.  Not afraid to bang.  And has generally thrived in a bench role the last several seasons.

What's your take on why every team that signs him seems to quickly move on?  He's changed teams seven times in seven years, and I'm not sure that any of those teams offered him a new contract.

I'd prefer Howard as I think there would be less headaches (imagine that), but Whiteside would be fine as well.  They do the same things.

He is a vet minimum guy.  Has to be right for the team.  I mean Whiteside will now be on his 5th team in 5 seasons.  Howard would only be on his 4th team in 5 seasons.
