Last week 20 year old Roki Sasaki pitched the first perfect game in the Nippon Professional Baseball league in 28 years, striking out 19 batters (tying that record) including 13 in a row (setting that record).  Yesterday in his very next game, he went 8 perfect innings before being pulled after striking out 14 more hitters.  He has now retired 52 straight batters (a new record) and that streak is still going.

Barring injury, his bidding war in the future may set a record for MLB teams.
I was finally wrong. Boston not only didn't win in 5, but didn't win at all.

That second set of 8 perfect innings against the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters, who have the best name in Japanese baseball.
