If you get a deal that you can't pass up on to get him and he wants to come to Boston you almost have to pull the trigger even though you know it will likely lead to frustration and disappointment.  The best case scenario would probably be like his Lakers experience in that we'd manage to win a title one year and we'd be a very frustrated group of bloggers the other years.

Is he good/worth it if he is finally willing to play center?

Or is his body just so damaged right now that there's no going back...

I'd sign up for it if he really wants to be here lol. We haven't won a chip in 14 years, might as well win one now and deal with whatever kind of frustration later lol. The East is continually getting stronger and deeper so the C's gotta get tougher too.

Thanks, but no, thanks.

Not for what we'd have to give up.

I'm fully on board with our current top 6 players. As I have been since the end of last season.

This team will win a championship.

Patience. Trust.

Part of the destruction of being a Laker plus associate of James and Clutch

Yes, finding a future replacement for Horford should be priority #1. Not sure if the Lakers would do that tbh considering AD is literally their only viable asset outside of Lebron. But AD willed the Lakers to the Bubble Title. He was great that season. The risk of injury is always a risk with this guy but pairing him with JB/JT should be a tantalizing possibility.

Would Davis cost more than Ayton in a trade?

I see lots of trade proposals with us sending out our 2023 #1. Since we traded our 22 #1, isn’t that illegal? What am I missing?

To be honest the only asset the Lakers need to worry about is having free cap space when several franchise players are available. Easiest GM job in professional sports.

once the draft happens Boston can trade the 23 1st as it would own consecutive future picks at that point i.e. 23 and 24.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Thanks for clarifying. Dumb rule either way IMO. If you don’t trust a franchise with its picks maybe they shouldn’t be a franchise.

Nope. Let him rot in LA. Still can't forget him threatening the Cs if they traded for him.
