Why for the Raps:
They need someone to run their offense through him in the half court. Siakam ain't crafty enough to be the go-to scorer in the half court, although he's a terrific option in the open court. FVV ain't tall/long enough to be the go-to guy, especially in the clutch. Scottie Barnes ain't versatile enough as a scorer cause he's a below average shooter. Trent Jr. is a 3+D role player. They need a go-to guy. Sabonis fits the bill. His D leaves a lot to be desired, but he'd be playing alongside 2 switchable swings in Siakam and Scottie Barnes.

Why for the Pacers:
It's about time they traded either Sabonis or Turner. OG is a terrific 2-way swing. He'd be a perfect fit on any team. Not to mention, he's under team control till 2024.
