They've told the Big 12 they won't renew their media rights agreement in 2025, which is the first step in them leaving.

They will almost certainly announce soon that they will be joining the SEC.

Conference juggling will begin again in earnest as the power teams look to consolidate even more.

At this stage of the game, probably the right direction; SEC, ACC, BIG10, PAC10.  I'm keeping the 10 for only naming and history.  BTW, as long as Notre Dame gets put into a conference, I don't care....

Only two ways ND joins a conference.

1) they go undefeated and don’t make the playoff - unlikely

2) they lose the NBC contract - more likely but I doubt it.

SEC also apparently reached out to Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, and Florida State.  Not sure how much traction that got.  Rumors in Ohio were that the SEC teams didn't want to play conference games up north in the snow and wanted them to be on neutral sites which was a non-starter for Ohio State.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU/Michigan leave the Big Ten or the Big Ten to also go bold and try to get Clemson/UNC and/or USC/Oregon into the conference.
