DRAFT RULES

• Players selected must have been drafted from pick 11 or later - or undrafted.
• Teams will have their entire allocated time to make a selection - no other team may select players during another team's slot unless said team has made their pick.
• If a team fails to make a pick during their allocated time, the next team can go ahead. If a team owner fails to make a selection I will make it for them from cross-referencing my own big board and the SLAM top 500.
• Nobody can mention undrafted players in the thread, unless for some reason you want to discuss a player not in the draft pool - i.e. a top 10 pick. However, everyone is fair game in PMs.
• Draft boards can be sent to me, but I'm sure there are other posters who could probably take them too.
• When it comes to team finalisation, you must select a single season you want to represent your player. However, this won't be until after the draft process.
• Trades can be sent to me or Somebody for processing, although having someone in the US help with this would be nice for timely trade processing.
• Teams will be awarded points based on inverted order of the top 10 teams. 9 points for a #1 vote down to 1 point for a #9 vote.
• Before teams vote I'll dedicate a thread where posters can put forward a little mini-essay on why their team rocks and should win. I'll sort out dates for the final stages later.

Let's try and keep this thread clear of players who will potentially be drafted.

I think starting off the new year with this could be good, if that suits everyone. Seems like a while away, but what better way to kick off 2021 and say goodbye to the nightmare that has been 2020

I'd like to keep the rules somewhat simple so that we don't need a designated lone commissioner (shoutout to nickagneta!), but I'd be willing to help out however I can, whether it's processing trades, moving the draft along or what have you.

So basically whomever drafts Larry Legend wins the game. He's the only GOAT candidate drafted later than 5th. Not to mention, he's a Celtics legend, hence he's immensely popular in a Celtics forum. I mean, the winner of the game is decided by vote. Things like that matter. No wonder the last 2 CelticsStrong games were won by the Celtics.

Anyway, count me in! The 00s draft was great fun!

I guess we could allow territorial picks? Wilt and Oscar would come into play (+ Tommy).

Maybe not, lots of great players drafted outside of the top 5.
Bird is probably the best of them all, but there are some sure fire HOFers in there.

I think no top 10 picks (or territorial) makes it far more interesting because there are a lot great players in the 6 to 10 range.  Far more about team building, fit, elite skill (though not elite player), etc. which I think would make it far more interesting, especially when dealing with the entire history of the league. 

I'm in either way, my preference would just be 11 - undrafted.

I think 11-undrafted works nicely. Heaps of great players, particularly non-US players. Would also allow us to avoid Bird, who I think would be the runaway best choice if it was 6-undrafted
