Gone too soon at age 43.  Colon cancer.  May his family and loved ones find peace.

RIP Chadwick Boseman

It’s actually incredible that he continued working on and acting in movies the past 4 years even after he was diagnosed, and he didn’t tell anyone about it besides his family. Very sad. He made a lot of incredible movies but his 2018 portrayal of Black Panther in the actual Black Panther movie in this day and age (as well as everyone else who acted in that movie) felt like a milestone too.

2020 really sucks  :(

Jeezus. That one is an even bigger shock than Clifford Robinson.

I really liked the job he did on a film "Message from the King". He carried that whole movie. Terrific acting. Revenge film about a guy from South Africa looking to find / avenge his sister who went missing in LA.

I was straight-up SHOCKED when my wife told me about this last night; I thought it had to be a mistake. He was great as Jackie Robinson in 42, and awesome as Marvel's Black Panther. A tragic loss for his family, of course, and sad for his many fans.

Thank You!!!

Thank you, indeed.

He had the entire world he could have reached out to for sympathy, and he instead focused on his career, doing what he loved and providing for his family in the process.

Really crazy, would have had no idea that he was struggling with something like this. Seemed like he had the world at his fingertips.

Leaves behind a great legacy. Told some very important and inspirational stories, both fictional and non

This is something else.  It really takes a lot of will power to keep something like this to just those closest to you and keep going on like everything is fine otherwise.

This is just so sad.  Such a shining light of talent (and courage), just emerging over the last 7 years ... suddenly gone.

I was stunned when I saw the headline flash on my phone yesterday.  I don't usually get emotional over celebrities - people I don't really know.  But this one just is so ... sad.  It feels like such a huge loss.

Really shocking and so sad.

This career is going to be talked about for a long time. He'll be like this generation's John Cazale.

In his mid-30’s, he was a complete unknown. Well past the age where most actors get that big break. Boseman got his playing, of all people, Jackie Robinson. How does hefollow up playing Jackie Robinson? By playing James Brown. After that he gets his chance to be a superhero, defining Black Panther on the big screen. Then he plays Thurgood Marshall. Toss in a Spike Lee movie and an August Wilson adaptation with Viola Davis? Incredible.

This is a lifetime of achievements on film but all told, his run as a movie star was 7 years. That’s it.

Gone too young but man did he give everything an actor could.
