New England Revolution doesn't get a lot of attention in this area, but there has been a juicy drama brewing for some time in the Ime Udoka style and there is no word at all. A quick recap is that the coach was suspended for something inappropriate, but there is no news whatsoever on what he did and what happened. Now the players are refusing to practice after he stepped down.

New England Revolution players refused to train on Tuesday in response to a lack of clarity over the circumstances that led to Bruce Arena's resignation as manager, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.

The Athletic was the first to report the news.

Arena resigned Saturday following a nearly six-week investigation by the law firm Proskauer Rose, which was hired by MLS to look into allegations of "insensitive and inappropriate remarks" made by the now former Revs manager.

Arena was initially placed on administrative leave, with the team being managed on an interim basis by assistant coach Richie Williams.

MLS, in a statement released Saturday, indicated the investigation "confirmed certain of these allegations" and that if Arena wished to work in the league again, he would have to file a petition to MLS commissioner Don Garber.

What are your thoughts?

It’s interesting that MLS would require him to get clearance before he could be hired again.  They either have tighter stands than the NBA or what Arena did is worse.

And now they have essentially their entire coaching staff. This is good drama but it gets overshadowed by Tom Brady’s son playing basketball.

This is basically shades of the Celtics and Ime Udoka. First Arena leaves his position due to some inappropriate (racial) remarks made to someone, then is replaced by the interim coach Richie Williams, then there’s a mini revolt among the players who refuse to train under him, then the Revs send out a PR saying that they have appointed a new interim coach, with no mention of Williams at all, and in addition a couple of the assistant coaches that clashed heads with Williams are apparently out too, and no word from the team in what’s happening at all, and not even the players know

(How’s that for a long sentence  :police:)
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Absolute dumpster fire of an organization. I wonder if Kraft even knows what is going on. Continues the sad trend of that team just being mismanaged on and off the field.
