Kyrie being interviewed said he called LeBum after the Orlando game to apologize for being a young player who was headstrong and also to ask for advice on how to deal with Boston’s own young players and how to guide them the way LeBum was trying to guide him when all he wanted was big paycheck, more shots and making All Star teams etc. particularly since Kyrie had to adjust his own game from being the Man to being the Second when LeBum came back to Cleveland.

I’m sure the full interview will be on Twitter shortly it’s well worth listening to.

Interviewed in the locker room?

Yep postgame

He also apologized for making his criticisms of the young guys public, said he wil continue to provide constructI’ve criticism and guidance but will keep it in house. Said that Jaylen was right in calling him out saying he needs to empower them as well as criticize. Said that leading and trying to get the best out of everyone is a learning experience for him too.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Well, maybe that's the reason he had a career high 18 assists tonight. Maybe he's trying to get everyone involved. Sounds like something LeBron might have advised him to do. After all, LeBron is a pass-first type of player himself.

If Kyrie can avg 15 assist a game ... this team will be great

we all know he is a lethal scorer

The assists will go a long way.  In the 2nd half it was good to see him keep distributing the ball and not try to do it all himself

trust

All Kyrie has to do is average more assists per game over the course of a season than Stockton ever did? Seems reasonable
I'm bitter.

Yeah, just average more assists per game than anybody in NBA history.  It's that easy, guys.

You still said 15 (!) APG, which is a crazy number. You’re not wrong though, if he did average that this team would be great

Awesome game! Was making my way up the Strip in Vegas before heading to the airport with 5 minutes left. It looked dicey at the time, but incredible effort against an elite team and a great way to finish this one out - psyched to see they got the win!

When this team is firing on all cylinders they are nearly unstoppable. Encouraging game after the last 3 stinkers.

Yeah that guy just happens to be a top 5 scorer of all time, and they were the most unstoppable pick and roll duo ever.

Why didn’t Tony Parker average 15APG? Why didn’t Kobe? Why didn’t LeBron in Miami? Why doesn’t Curry?

Because even if you’re surrounded by insane talent, 15APG is video game level

Again like I said above

he basically had one player to feed

Kyrie has a buffet of top calibre talent surrounding him

10 assist a game minimum is mandatory
